The Arjun ARRVs will support the two Arjun Mk.1 and two Arjun Mk.1A Regiments that will be permanently deployed in Rajasthan, since the Indian Army has decided that they will never be employed in the plains of Punjab and Jammu. Instead, all the upgraded T-72M and T-90S MBTs will be used in the plains of Punjab as well as elsewhere in Jammu & Kashmir and the North-East.

Like I mentioned in my earlier staements, there are many a communication that have been redacted (blackened out) on the grounds of "National security". So I doubt a President's order of that and many others that are detrimental to US national security will ever see the light of the day.

I realize that your answer was for another poster but staying with West Bengal, it is not just "the usage of ritualistic religiosity" but also blatant abuse, allegations against Bengalis that the BJP has resorted to for the last 4 years.
They have defined ( via trolls, Swarajya magazine, OpIndia etc) Hindu Bengalis as drug traffickers, petulant, corrupt,criminals among many other things. Bollywood director, Vivek Agnihotri (who is close to BJP) recently wrote that Hindu Bengalis (along with Kannadigas) are Urban Naxals & therefore should be denied job opportunities across India.
So therefore, people who post such messages about Bengal, Bengalis are in all likelihood victims of such propaganda that the BJP-RSS unleashes.

It is very much likely that Trump has at least by now thoroughly understood the futility of the US military operations in remote places like Syria and Afghanistan. So he is withdrawing from such battlefields. Now it is crystal clear to him that the Pakistan and only Pakistan is the mother of the Global Muslamic Terrorism and to finish this phenomenon forever, Pakistan has to be choked and de-nuked militarily and completely. It is in the offing. That is why India in no uncertain terms is not talking to Pakistan. Vultures have started flying high over Pakistan.

The requirement seems to insist on the the guns firing smart ammo. Wouldn't that be a minus for the truck mounted ak-630 gun? as i assume it cant fire programmable smart ammo.Very few countries make that stuff like germany , norway, sweden etc. So the choice seems to be limited .
May i presume that extra fire power and simplicity can match kill ratio of smart ammo which is very costly. Do we make the 30 mm ammo for the ak-360 gun.? will russia allow that?
do we have to engineer the ak-630 hydraulic drive motors to electric drive which is better and simple in all ways ?. as well as less maintenance.
though your suggestion of uttam radar and laser range finder plus IR camera can be integrated , there seems to be another alternative in the FCS of the upgraded zsu-23-4 , where an aesa radar , thermal camera and a laser range finder have already been integrated and would be a ready solution. All we need is a little larger radar for the range increase if necessary, your comments?
i still dont get it that we are importing the sigma -30 rlg when we make our own for all sorts of missiles .Is it not a good chance of putting a desi RLG given that there are thousands of 155mm guns that are going to b e manufactured so hte cost factor can be mitigated by numbers? and we also get to refine and better the systems as time goes by ?

It is a much deep rooted problem with this statement of the scientists being merely symptomatic of the deeper malaise of indian education system designing such products. Why single out drdo scientist, which so called scientists in india are doing any cutting edge research. It is broadly incremental and minor research happening here and there. But the critical question is why education system is designed in such a way that it inhibits knowledge creation. Everything here is cut pasted from the west. The answer is in the poor intellectual class of founding fathers of india especially the Gandhi's and nehrus who have brought and encouraged this sorry state of affairs. Let me tell you that if you have English as a medium of education, governance, law, research, engineering etc you are inhibiting the masses to learn and use their creativity for innovations. Hell you are even denying the poor justice because who won't understand law as it is all in English! But paens are written on English language as an international language for international mobility of india! It is this very language that has introduced bizarre western social concepts in the indian context causing
Virtual legal and judicial terrorism like in the sabarimala verdict. Where ironically Kerala women are protesting entry of women and the judgement attempted to liberate women from patriarchal practises! It is also this language that inhibits ability of Indians in taking look at their own sanskrit and local language texts studies etc to enrich themselves. well sir i don't trust mamta n TMC that's y said so. She seems to be more aligned towards a particular community neglecting the Hindu majority.
Talking about that shipyard thing, i feel that govt must allow pvt ship builders like L&T and others to make bigger ships if they have that much capability. And more and more facilities must b given to pvt players to involve in ship building job so that NAVY may get its ships on time and in more numbers annually.
Regarding DRDO scientists/engineers i can say that the first step they should do is remove reservation from DRDO just like ISRO n BARC. Then make strict timelines n if they fail to do it in time, strict punishment. Though time should be given after consulting with DRDO. I agree that they are not that much involved in new tech development rather they make things Indigenous, but doing that too is not a easy task.But yes a lot "Sudhaar" needs to be donei in DRDO to improve its performance. They still have not provided a world class assault rifle to armed forces.

2) I saw PT3 of HAL LUH being started flight tested, u once showed some pics of it getting Equipped with EO pod on chin and armed with rockets/missiles. so my question is why HAL has not yet attached EO pod to its chin on 3rd PT??? Will they be giving chopper in same condition to army and then take another 5 years to develop EO pod equipped and armed version???

Urban naxalism is not just limited to West Bengal it is spread through out india. On propaganda it is unleashed by all political parties who want to come to power. Also judge any article of a magazine by the rigour of it's research and use of common sense. Read multiple articles on the same.topic to get a clear view over an issue. In so far as drug smuggling is concerned this is also happy in Punjab with active involvement of police and people there, West Bengal is no exception therefore.

Muslim voters in india vote on emotions and appeal of their community leaders the mullahs. A very minor portion of Muslims vote as per their independent thinking. Why this phenomenon is present in Indian Muslims? Lack of quality leadership. Why there is lack of this leadership? Because in india the say of the mullahs in the masjid is given prominence over say of allah. So mullahs says vote for tmc, there is vast voting for this party. Hence pandering to the mullahs by tmc. This therefore threatens secular fabric of india. Given the history of ruthless neokhali riots in 1946, Hindus get spooked and to unite them for votes bjp plans for rath yatra. It is also observed empirically that wherever Muslim population crosses a particular percentage and that such population is guided by mullahs, existence of minorities becomes a challenge. It's no wonder therefore Hindus in west Bengal feel threatened given the problems in east Bengal. This also illustrates the challenge before India of what potential demographic changes can cause. Till date all governments are loath to even seriously discuss and arrive at solutions to this challenge. With such state of affairs people end up forming organizations which start taking law and order in its hand. It's a very sorry state of affairs threatening amity amongst all communities in India. What happens wit neighbours also affects us. But no action by government of india to check and reconcile this.

Indian army has issued an RFP for some 5700 sniper rifles. It was due for submission on Dec 12, hope that phase is over.
In Feb 2018 they also issued an RFP for Galil sniper rifle ammunition (7.62 x 51 )
Why is it that press say Indian army lags in snipers?
What then is the goal, just upgrade weaponary, training and tactics or have a separate sniper as a specialist ?
