PLA Displayed New Hardware At The PRC's 70th Anniversary Parade
The People’s Republic of China held a huge parade to mark the 70th
anniversary of its founding, which featured 15,000 troops, 160 aircraft
and 580 pieces of equipment.
To BUDDHA: LoLz! Does the PLA Army possess ultralightweight 155mm howitzers & related heavylift helicopters? Can China's industry develop & produce anything beyond 780hp diesel engines? Do the cruise missiles of the PLARF possess TERCOM or DSMAC navigational capabilities? Why has the PLA Navy been unable to procure FFGs powered by marine gas-turbines? Are any of the PLAAF's MRCAs capable of undertaking terrain-avoidance flight-profiles? Why do the MBRL rockets of the PLA Army still not carry sensor-fuzed munitions? Why do the HALE-UAVs developed by China still don't have SAR sensors? Whay are such UAVs not making use of SATCOM-based navigation & flight-control? Why are the engines of such UAVs still being imported? Why does China remain reliant on Russia for advanced military turbofans?
Bottomline: There are several critical deficiencies that the PLA continues to suffer from & hence the PLA will be extremely averse to conduct full-contact kinetic warfare against India. It will therefore continue to rely on the non-kinetic information warfare domain.
Speaking of TERCOM and DSMAC, do you think Nirbhay missile will be getting these capabilities anytime soon? Because I think without them it won't fly at low enough altitude and would excessively rely on GPS guidance which is susceptible to jamming. This, combined with its subsonic speed, will make it a sitting duck against missile defences.
Prasun Da, Thanks for this timely episode. (1) please give some details about DF-17 & DF-100 missiles. (2) when our Namica nag missile launcher is ready? (3) when we get Caesar spgh,120mm self-propelled mortar,BMPT like fsv,Kestrel wheeled APC? (4) is there any need of rockets like 500mm Golan-1000 used in Syria and Tos-1A heavy flamethrowers used in Ukraine conflict? (5) is it possible to acquire Polonez-M MRL from Belarus?
Inspite of the deficiencies that you mentioned above, the denstration of its capabilities are formidable, to say the least. Its clear that China, as declared in the 2017 party conference, is on track to be the superpower it has set its goal to.
I imagine with the funding that is available the deficiencies will be overcome soon, either through tech-break-throughs; direct purchase or by aquisitions of companies abroad.
Sir, Another 2 to 3 years HTT-40 to induct in IAF? https://www.livefistdefence.com/2019/10/terrific-mid-air-video-captures-hals-htt-40-trainer-nailing-crucial-spin-tests.html

Sir in the next financial year will Indian armed force go for 4 deshi items like Tejas MK1A ,LCH for army and airforce , LUH And Hal Light trainer HTT 40 . For chinese sector will india need long range 2500km cruise missle...Or air launch nirbhoy will do the job...

Here is a brief but serious assessment on the Chinese military hardware on show which was nothing short of spectacular and astounding, considering the short (relatively) time of development.
Its nothing short of the military developments that happened between 1930 and 1939 in Germany that progressed into the WWII.
Putting the ideological grounds aside (National Socialism for WWII) an excessive sense of invincible power (such thoughts are easy to develop in the top power echelons of "National Security" states, which China is one) does lead to mistaken belief in unstopable power in a war.
Could that lead to a military adventure miscalculation by China? Would love to hear your opinion on this.
1. As per your last response, I feel that Tejas may or may not survive. If this is the case, then what's the reason behind manufacturing the so called LSP series aircrafts which are useless? Please enlighten.
2. Will MWF survive? Or it will give way to 114 MMRCA 2.0?
Hope all desi journalist and technology champions will stop ranting for Uttam AESA integration on Tejas Mk1A. Hope they will do some analysis why Uttam not considered.
hi prasun can you elaborate on the new cruise missile df-100? supersonic or subsonic? apart from the nuke stuff displayed what should we beware of ?
Pak has more cruise misiles then us ie subsonic , why cant we import klub series from russian about 500 of them ? as a standby means ?
because the nirbhay is never going to come to full production FOC quickly and even then they will make 10 missiles per year leaving us at a great disadvantage.?
why is no one talking about integration of the astra to the LCA??
is there any talks about getting pylon mounted MAW? is it self contained or does it need integration with onboard avionics?
which is better the TERMA stuff or the swedish stuff? does an ac need
You responded to someone earlier that PAF had not ordered the block III of jf17. According to published material e.g. Janes they have ordered 50 single seaters and 28 two seaters. This was in an interview with their air chief. The completion of delivery is 2023. How will they change the landscape, in the context of Air-land campaign? Can IAF gain air superiority over PoK?
Prasun sir, Air chief marshal has totally given confusing statements when he said that we will go for 83 mk1a and 114 mwf..now which this mwf is he talking about? Our own mwf or mmrca2.0?? And then he says we will have acceptance of neccesity for mmrca soon and he puts everyone in confusion about this no. 114..whether its for mmrca or mwf? 2- the 77N6 and 77N6i hypersonic anti air defence missile that russia is developing..wanted to know are they only for non moneuverable objects like hypersonic missiles and strategic aircrafts?? Cauz at such speed i dun think it wud survive at first..it wud break down completely if it tries to even moneuver right?? But surprisingly russia is also claiming that it can take on hypersonic cruise missiles..is it true? 3-iaf has now cleared that it will go for htt-40 btt..so does this mean that slowly the entire pc7 fleet will be replaced or iaf will sign maintenance deal directly with pratt and whitney to maintain the fleet?
if true, then I dont understand the use of having only 36 rafales, The stmts sound that he is pretty confident on the products under development - LCA tejas Mk1a & AMCA then there is the 114 mmrca he says the IAf will procure .. taking his comments together.. either 114 mmrca would all be rafales but that will piss off uncle sam who has been mktg F 21 day & night & also may have implications on the strategic relationship, also rafales are way costlier than single engines ones.. on the other hand if single engines one is chosen then IAF will land up with the most diverse platforms which will be a maintenance nightmare as also why did the govt go for 36 rafales at all .. if we talk about a2a nuclear option then Su 30 cud have been modifies & we have the mirage 2000 5'sfor it why the need for 36 rafales.. it cud be just me but looks like each chief has his own agenda which then dump & the nxt one tries to impose his own .. no continuity of thought process eg Brownie wanted nothing domestic (take his comments on htt 40) now a few years later the current chief wants to induct them ..
Better to listen to what he had said, rather than read the twists/spins given by various 'desi patrakaars'. I could not be present at the PC because I was attending a 2-day closed-door seminar on "Nuclear Propulsion For Future Naval Vessels'.
And this image released by the IAF is proof that the IAF's upgraded MiG-29UPGs have the same cockpit configuration as that of the MiG-29SMT, & includes a HUD-mounted video recording system:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EFnZq4BU4AA05gs.jpg
Therefore, we can now safely conclude that the cockpit of the IN's MiG-29K is far superior to that of the MiG-29UPG. How is this possible, given that the MiG-29Ks were ordered in 2004 & the MiG-29UPG contract was inked far later in the previous decade, remains a mystery to me.
Finally, 2 videoclips on road-construction projects in northeastern Sikkim:
"Army inducts Israeli 'tank killers’ till DRDO develops indigenous ones". India should apply such a policy in more and more of the cases wherever find it suitable.
Indian Army has kicked off an IBG exercise in Arunachal. However Pravin claims here https://twitter.com/PravinSawhney/status/1179776912811425794 that IBGs are wrong move for China. Your take?
To DASHU: Not quite, since China continues to face severe technological challenges & that’s perhaps why it continues to describethe J-20 as a 4th-gen MRCA, and not a 5th-gen platform.
To PRRANSHU YADAV: TERCOM involves the creation of enormous amounts of geospatial imagery & terrain databases for mapping out the navigational route & these in turn require a huge quantum of overhead recce satellites of various types—equipped with optronic sensors & SAR. DSMAC on the other hand requires only imagery of the target & is cheaper & faster to acquire & for this reason the preferred option is adoption of the DSMAC route. Hence, countries like China & India have adopted the DSMAC route.
To SUVO: 1) They both are missiles equipped with hypersonic glide vehicles that don’t carry any explosives, but rely on speeds of Mach 6/8 to hit the target & cause irreparable damage. 2) It is already in service. 3) They won’t arrive because they will not be ordered. 4) Not quite. 5) That is a licence-built M-20 SS-BSM originally developed by NORINCO of China.
To KANE: The capabilities being acquired by China are meant for confronting developed countries like the US & Japan. Hence, India should not engage in any kind of competitive benchmarking because the military threats to China from China are of an entirely different nature & over entirely different kind iof terrain. Hence, in the coming years, the threats to China will emanate from the high seas & will be naval in nature.
To ANUP: It is all dependent now on HAL’s ability to acquire a certificate of airworthiness for the HTT-40 BTT from CEMILAC. The Spike missiles procured are the shoulder-launched Spike-SRs that will replace the Instalaza C-90 LAWs used by the Para (SF) formations.
To RON: They have all been persistently listed in previous threads. But those deficiencies that China suffers from automatically means that in those areas India is ahead of China in terms of capabilities. Yes, Turkish companies are being dropped as industrial partners by Indian DPSUs like HSL.
To SENTHIL KUMAR: Welcome back! Here is an excellent & recent documentary on Prince MBS & the Yemen civil war that explains everything:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IBa88VkM6g
To JUST_CURIOUS: The NAVIC receivers have already started being installed on fishermens’ trawlers, for starters. I saw some of them being exhibited at an internal security seminar inside the IIT Delhi campus last week.
To ASD: 1) It will survive. Here is the procurement breakdown: 216 (12 Sqns) of MWF-AF Mk.2 (168 single-seaters & 48 tandem-seaters), 83 (4 Sqns) of Tejas Mk.1A (73 single-seat & 10 tandem-seat) & 40 (2 Sqns) of Tejas Mk.1 (32 single-seaters & 8 tandem-seaters). 2) LSP-series Tejas Mk.1s are nothing else but pre-production prototypes & they along with the PV platforms are always available for certification-related flight-tests. At any given time, there must always be 7 flying prototypes available for such flight-test purposes. It was for this reason that the number of PVs built was reduced. Now with the combined PV/LSP fleet of Tejas Mk.1s, a lot more flight-test sorties can be carried out & the number of such aircraft being ground at any given time is minimal. 2) MWF will survive, PROVIDED the MMRCA 2.0 also results in 44 more Rafales being procured off-the-shelf to take the IAF’s Rafale fleet to 80. The 114 SEFs of imported origin will have to be procured ONLY IF the IAF rejects the Tejas Mk.1A L-MRCA.
To BUDDHA: And the very same to you & all your loved ones.
To SIDHARTH: Anyone who is knowledgeable about MMRs will realise (after seeing the Uttam’s full-scale mock-up being displayed since 2017) the following: 1) the metallic antenna & the entire metallic bulkhead housing the MMR needs to be built with composites for weight-savings. 2) The number of processor-based LRUs shown in such mock-ups requires reduction in numbers. 3) The all-important air- or liquid-cooled- environment cooling system is still missing & needs to be developed. Without meeting these 3 prerequisites, the Uttam AESA-MMR will never see the light of day.
To JUST_CURIOUS: 1) That guy changed his views/viewpoints/opinions about the region at the same time as IAKN’s PTI formed the govt in Pakistan. He also visited India last year at the invitation of IDSA. 2) He is only reading out aloud the writing on the wall.
To RAD: Both the DF-17 & DF-100 are carriers of hypersonic glide vehicles. While the former is a ballistic missile, the latter is a supersonic cruise missile that externally resembles the BrahMos-1. In China, this missile is known as the CX-1, whicb has been exhibited abroad in Abu Dhabi, South Africa & Algeria. India has since 2000 imported nearly 300 Novator 3M53E Club missiles that are subsonic units with 290km-range. Astra-1 is now in the process of being integrated with Tejas Mk.1. MAWS fitments based on pylon-mounted architecture of the type available from TERMA of Denmark will be procured in future for both Tejas Mk.1 & the projected Mk.1A variant.
To HINA: LoLz! The annual production rate at CAC in Chengdu of JF-17s is 16 units per year. And the JF-17B tandem-seater is still undergoing certification-related flight-tests. Hence, deliveries being completed by 2023 is an IMPOSSIBILITY. Besides, the CAS of the PAF has been known to lie about many other matters/topics.
To SUJIT: 1) IAF’s CAS never said that the MWF & MMRCA-2 are one & the same. Hence, they are 2 different procurements. 2) Such LR-SAMs are used for intercepting both ballistic missiles & their HGVs, which too can’t manoeuvre. 3) No, it will be mixed BTT fleet that will increase the IAF’s annual MRO costs.
To JUST-CURIOUS: One must understand that for a newly-appointed CAS of the IAF, it is impossible to make a fully committal speech & that too his maiden public address. He therefore had to be very careful & could not fully spell out the reality. For instance, he never stated the timeline in which the 4th-gen MRCA will be required by the IAF. So, if a ‘desi’ FGFA is to be the AMCA, then when exactly will it start arriving? The year 20250? Or 2080? Secondly, he unnecessarily fudged around the issue of ensuring secure comms between airborne combat aircraft & GCI controllers. All that he should have said that the IAF was at last embracing the usage of tactical data-links. ACM Browne would have embraced the HTT-40 project had the MoD allowed the IAF to opt for the Honeywell TPE331-powered version of the PC-7 Mk.2. It was the UPA-2 govt, instead, which panicked & settled for the P & WC PT6A-powered PC-7 Mk.2 just because of the ridiculous & illogical practice of always settling for the L-1 offer. And since P & WC engines cost lesser than Honeywell’s engines, a very costly mistake was made by the MoD.
To RAM BHARADWAJ & ASD: 1) He can’t make any comment, since he is too new in the job & secondly, anything to do with additional Rafales is a govt-to-govt matter& hence only ministerial-level statements can be made. 2) It is a wrong decision that will have to be reversed in future, rest assured. 3) Yes, probably by the year 2080.
To SANJEEV: Any fighting formation in today’s & future battlefield have to be IBG in nature & character. After all, an IBG is nothing else but an all-arms (combined-arms) battle group. And if is meant to be a super-duper IBG, then like the US Army’s Stryker Brigades, it will require at least US$1 billion per annum to be maintained & equipped & serviced.
To RAJESH MISHRA: The Spike missiles procured are the shoulder-launched Spike-SRs that will replace the Instalaza C-90 LAWs used by the Para (SF) formations. Meanwhile, believing that the IA will not fire back at ancient temple structures, the PA has deployed its medium artillery batteries at & around the Sharada Peeth Temple in PoK:

While post-earthquake rehabilitation work has yet to get underway at Mirpur in PoK:
hi prasun i am amazed at the chinese for copying the brahmos ! where didi they get the plans from hacked our computer or russian??are they trying to tell us that they cam nmake any thing ? how are we going to counter them from PAK?
WHY IS IAF CHIEF SAYING THAT NO MORE RAFALES? i think he is trying to swallow more than he canc chew ? we cant make a decent clean LCA and he is jumping to amca? where does he think he will get the money and tech/
why cant we place gun emplacement near mosques in kashmir??
any pics of navic receivers/ who is producing them in india? can they made like the garmin ones that are popular , and what is the accuracy available to civilians? has it wass capability ie GAGAN?
i am sure we can also make hypersonic glide vehicles as a spin of from the reusable space craft tested by us ,what would be the challenges?
the terma pylon with maws is self contained? is it worth copying or makie under tech transfer> do post pics from the security expo
is it too late to incorporate the f414 epe engine with 26000 lb thrust?in the lca mk2 mwf?
when is the mica-ng going to be flight tested ? is it bigger ? any news or pics ?
it does not make sense getting SEF from uncle sam to tickle his balls, we are better of roping in dassault as a consultant and ironing out the design hiccups as they are masters in delta wing with canards??
So the way I see it, Nirbhay can't fly at low altitude due to lack of TERCOM, and from its external appearance, it doesn't look stealthy either. Moreover it relies on GPS/IRNSS for guidance, which could give away its location or could be jammed. Plus it is subsonic. Doesn't all this make the missile extremely vulnerable?
To TECHNOLOGY, PHOTOGRAPHY & TRAVEL: VMT & the very same to you & all your loved ones.
To RAD: No, the BrahMos-1 wasn’t copied. The Yakhont/Onyx was. The IAF’s CAS never said ‘No More Rafales’. Instead, what he had said was: the stories being published by ‘desi’ patrakaars about acquiring another 35 Rafales are rumours & have no factual basis. What this means is that the figure of 36 isn’t true at all & that the actual figure of follow-on rafales to be ordered remains unknown to the ‘desi’ patrakaars. As for the AMCA, if it takes 22 years (from 1998 till now) to indigenise the BrahMos-1’s propulsion & SAR-based sensor, then by any stretch of imagination the kind of low-observable technologies applied on present-day 5th-gen MRCAs will be indigenised by India only by 2070. So, the 5th-gen AMCA will be available by 2080, by which time the West, especially the major NATO member-states, will be receiving their 7th-gen MRCAs! As for gun emplacements near Mosques, India doesn’t indulge in such acts simply because she is a welfare state, whereas Pakistan is a monotheistic national security state. NAVIC receivers for both civilian & military applications are not handheld hardware. Instead, they are meant for fitment on vehicles of all types & hence are not required to be miniaturised. Hand-held sets are still being developed in-house by BEL. Will upload the images of existing receivers soon. GAGAN is not reqd when the far more accurate NAVIC is in use. Both ISRO & DRDO are testing various scramjet-equipped HGVs. Had already given the webpage link of the TERMA integrated pylon a few times before. It is no longer the LCA-AF Mk.2 & it is now known as MWF-AF Mk.2 & the F414EPE can be incorporated in its airframe anytime in future. MICA-NG BVRAAM has the same dimensions as existing MICA. As for SEF, there’s no need for it if the Tejas Mk.1A with pylon-based MAWS fitments can be successfully developed by HAL & ADA. Even if the Tejas Mk.1s & Mk.1As are devoid of cannons, this deficiency can be made up by using dual-launchers for SRAAMs. More Rafales are reqd as they will be the principal deep interdictor of the IAF & hence their numbers need to go up.
To PRRANSHU YADAV: Yes, all this was put on-record by the former DRDO Secretary Dr S Christopher in any interview he had given to FORCE magazine last year.
To RAT2: What you are referring to is 100% DISINFORMATION. The JF-17B shown at PAC Kamra’s hangar is the one that was originally full-built by CAC at Chengdu & it can be seen here:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DZ_GwWmUQAAuUNj.jpg
It was this single JF-17B that was subsequently seen at PAC Kamra:
Thus, like I had stated before, Pakistani officials who are who used to punching way above their weight-categories, are too used to making bombastic claims that can’t stand up to the laws of the physical sciences & hence they always end up as the world’s laughing stock & their bluffs have always been called.
To RAJESH MISHRA: Kindly watch this interesting analysis as well:
Internally the CPC and their Polit-Buro love Stalin. More than that they are real expansionists. This is a very dangerous and purely unpredictable amalgamation.
BTW Sharda/Sarswati Devi is the Goddess of peace, harmony and learning. But I hope that in this war Devi Sharda is going to impart an ever lasting lesson to the Pakistan. Pakistan will be no more.
hi prasun i dont understand the french philosophy of air combat for developing less than medium range mica ng ? is it becasue they have the meteor or is it that they can shorten the merge distance due to jamming and then fire of the mica ng?
The aircraft performed very well against the IAF Mirage 2000s and their Mica missiles, as well as the MiG-21 Bison and its R-73 Archer AAMs.” well the f16 dint fare well gainst a mig bison?
is he shooting off his mouth as usual
there is also a mention that pilots went to boscome down and now they are going to chngsu for TP traing / how do you rate the chinese Test pilots , / we have to give them som due ??
given the specs of the jf-17 block 3 , i think it will be more of a headache than the f-16 , given the aesa radar , modern iir mi isles , ew , targeting pod HMS etc ???
how to overcome that??
what does the paf chief trying to imply when they were not any where near the battle space over balakot ? did he mean that they jammed our radars or fired of missiles that eventual did not hit/ at least in their view
i believe that the latest version of the r-37 should be integrated to bring down the AWACS and also scare the pakis ! whether it is effective or not against fighters. But russian web pages always portray the r-37 good enough for long range shots at fighters as well given their tremendous speed and good large active radar.???
from where did thechinks get the blue prints of the yahkont missile? and still russia gives them arms ? what gives/
Hi Prasun, On Loots By Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni link. That's a pure right wing channel selling propaganda. They are surviving on people ignorance. History, Culture and hinduism is corroded in the name Hinduthava. Thanks, Vidhu
With economic slowdown to near recession now, what can modi government do to revive it. I mean without economic prowess how can a social welfare state spend on its people or address it's defence needs.
What happened to the much publicised freedom march that was to happen last week from PoK to Kashmir ? Why is the Pak chief of army staff meeting businessmen ?
I would like to bring to your attention a recent article by the Print authored by Taran Deol (https://theprint.in/india/clothing-brand-raw-mango-slammed-exotifying-kashmir-new-fashion-campaign/300708/). They published three screenshots originating from an Instagram user "ifsha_" (https://www.instagram.com/ifsha_/). There are several comments written all over it, but they deceptively captioned all of them as “Screenshots of the story posted by Raw Mango on Instagram". In the second screenshot, an individual posted a filthy vitriol in yellow background (read for yourselves). How is publishing that vulgar screenshot help in dignifying anything, including Kashmiris?
Further, the Instagram account of ifsha_ contains a weblink that direct us to the website, https://soskashmir.home.blog/2019/08/14/introductory-reading-list-for-the-conflict-in-kashmir/ The website has no details on the blogger or the contact address. The IP number (192.0.78.30) associated with that blog seems to be located in San Francisco, United States. It is hosted by /24 Automattic. Did they even bother to investigate the possibility of that dubious site being run by Pakistani agencies to peddle fake news?
The traditional outfit for both males and females in Kashmir is the pheran or phiran. There has been a revival of Phirans as a fashion statement among Kashmiris and by females of other parts of India. It is also worn with jeans to office by men. Neoorientalism is the practice of imposing cultural imperialism over a minority population. Phiran is a cultural symbol of Kashmiris and how could anyone impose it on Kashmiris, when it is already a part of their intrinsic tradition. In fact, if I were a Kashmiri, I would be proud that the world is getting to know about my tradition and culture and adopting its styles. How is this neoorientalism, when the majority are adopting the minorities culture? Further, If one were a Kashmiri tourist operator in the Dal Lake or the local manufacturer of the Phirans, he would greatly welcome the free advertisement. So, why would a Kashmiri be slighted or feel exploited by the advertisement?
Isn’t verifying facts before publishing a basic requirement of a journalist? Do the readers need to do their job for them? This is how the media loses its Legitimacy and Trust of the people.
hi prasun you mentioned tha tthe navic was more accurate than the wass aka gagan? which has a 2.5 meter accuracy. the navic will be open to civilion use with that accuracy??
Prasun da, I have a few questions unrelated to the thread
1) What is the status of DRDO Airbus AWACS project?
2) Why was the inferior Igla-S chosen despite reports of failure in trials? Are allegations levelled by MBDA and Saab true?
3) Can the single launcher for Shtil SAM on the Talwar batch 1&2 and Shivaliks be replaced by VLS cells in the future like that on Talwar batch 3?
4) Can Barak-1 on the 3 Shivalik class frigates be replaced with more advanced Barak-8 or Astra SAM version?
5) Why is the IA not working on a future infantry soldier project like Russian Ratnik or French Felin or British FIST?
6) Why does the period from building to commissioning warships in India so long as compared to China?
7) The way things are going it seems like Pakistan will end up acquiring 5th gen fighters before India. Will it be J-20 or J-31 or Turkish TFX?
8) I have read a few reports according to which there is space to add more VLS cells on P-15 Kolkata class for more missiles in the future. Possibly for Nirbhay. Is it true?
9) Can Kalvari class subs fire the submarine launched version of Brahmos from its 6 torpedo tubes?
10) Given the situation in Kashmir and growing terror activities in Punjab just before the Khalistani wet dream of 2020 referendum, will India be forced to take pre emtive military action against Pakistan? Or are we going to wait for a Pulwama type attack?
Hi Prasun, People who say that Mahmud of Ghaznavi was a lamb would probably deny Armenian genocide by Turks as a myth or propaganda. Probably they will also deny the butchering of Sikhs and their Gurus by the Mughals. This revanchist ideological approach to history is pretty much the stupidity of the so called liberals and petro dollar activists.
To RAD: The MICA-NG family, to be available from 2026, is perhaps the world’s only BVRAAM/SRAAM family with 2 launch modes (rail & ejection) contained within a single missile casing. The SRAAM version will use a new IIR sensor that uses a matrix sensor providing greater sensitivity. The X-band AESA sensor on the BVRAAM variant will enable the adoption of smart detection strategies. In addition, the reduced volume of electronic components within MICA-NG will allow it to carry a larger quantity of propellant, thereby significantly extending the range of the missile. Lastly, utilising a new double-pulse rocket motor will provide additional energy to the missile at the end of its flight to improve manoeuvrability and the ability to intercept targets at long range in the tail-chase mode.
The Meteor BVRAAM uses a solid fuel, variable flow, ducted rocket—also referred to as a ramjet—instead of a traditional rocket motor. This enables the BVRAAM to throttle its engine during different phases of flight, whereas the conventional pulsed rocket motor on all existing BVRAAMs delivers all of its potential energy in one continuous & unmodulated burn-cycle. This capability is a huge deal because when a standard BVRAAM is fired at a target it delivers the same amount of thrust over a certain period regardless of the tactical scenario. If the target can be reached without the rocket motor burning out, or shortly after it does so, the BVRAAM will have a high-energy state during its terminal attack phase. This will allow it to manoeuvre very hard, easily countering a targetted aircraft trying to evade or electronically jam the incoming BVRAAM. If the target is farther away, the BVRAAM will usually climb to a high altitude while its rocket motor is burning and then coast on its built-up energy with gravity on its side until it reaches the terminal phase of its flight (its final attack run). If the target isn’t too far away, and the BVRAAM is still above it, it will dive down on the target in an attempt to maximize its ability to make hard manoeuvres. The longer the shot, the less energy the existing BVRAAMs will have for their critical terminal phase of flight, and that is not a good thing. But in case of the Meteor, instead of burning off all its fuel right after launch it can throttle its engine back during cruise, thus saving fuel. As it approaches its target it can throttle up, eventually making its terminal attack while at its highest possible energy state, around Mach 4.5, even when fired over long ranges. Not only does this mean that the Meteor will have more energy to manoeuvre during the endgame of the engagement, but this capability also drastically increases the size of the missile’s “no escape zone.” Basically, the Meteor has a far greater ability to “chase” and catch enemy aircraft over long ranges. It packs an active X-band RF sensor for locking on to targets during the terminal phase of its flight. In addition, the Meteor’s internal data-link also has two-way capability that enables mid-course situational awareness updates being received from airborne platforms like both MRCAs & AEW & CS aircraft.
So, forget about the PAF CAS’ delusional rants & instead enjoy this videoclip of J-20 flight operations:
To VIDHU & ANIRBAAN: LoLz! Whenever we tend to get embroiled in disputes about Leftists & Rightists, we lose the ability to think & walk straight! So let’s get the foundational fundamentals straight. Firstly, during the Vedic era some 15,000 years ago, the landmass east of the Hindukush Mountain Range (on both sides of the Sindhu River) was known as ‘Bharat Varsh’. According to Sir Monier Williams, the famous Sanskrit lexicographer, the words ‘Hindu’ and ‘India’ evidently do not possess any indigenous roots. Neither are these words found in any Buddhist or Jain texts, nor are they inscribed in any of the official languages of India. In addition, the origin of the word ‘Hindu’ cannot be linked to Sanskrit language as there is no mention of it in any of the Vedic literature. Even Chhatrapati Shivaji’s usage of the term ‘Hindvi Swaraj’ was derived from the /Persian/Arabic word Hind/Al Hind. In reality, the first official usage of the word ‘Hindu’ to denote a specific religion was in the 1911 Census of India that was conducted by the colonial Brits. This what was then stated:
In the domain of religion, though the bulk of the people call themselves Hindus, there are millions of Muhammadans, Animists, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhas and Christians. Hindusim itself includes" a complex congeries of creeds and doctorines. "It shelters within its portals monotheists, polytheists and pantheists; worshippers of the great gods Siva and Vishnu or of their female counterparts, as well as worshippers of the divine mothers, of the spirits of trees, rocks and streams and of the tutelary village deities; persons who propitiate their deity by all manner of bloody sacrifices, and persons who will not only kill no living creature but who must not even use the word "cut"; those whose ritual consists mainly of prayers and hymns, and those who indulge in unspeakable orgies in the name of religion; and a host of more or less unorthodox sectaries many of whom deny the supremacy of the Brahmans, or at least have non-Brahmanical religious leaders.
Since then, the great bulk of the citizens of India have gotten stuck in this over-simplification of religious definitions/demarcations & no one seems to be researching into the fundamentals in oprder to formulate an over-arching unifying narrative. It is like different folks touching different portions of an elephant & reaching differing conclusions without realising that it is an elephant that they are trying to figure out.
To SRINIVASA NANDURI: Recent history teaches us that India works best during a national crisis & the present-day one will hopefully force all political parties (except the retarded Communists) to unanimously agree to implement the long-awaited land & labour reforms.
To VENKY: You can get the latest information on that in this Twitter account:
To RAD: No, civilian applications do not require such high accuracy.
To PRATAP: 1) The development of the S-band AESA antenna array is still in progress & Airbus Military will supply the all-composite radome. 2) Who has proven the Igla-S to be inferior? 3) Yes. 4) Yes. 5) It is & that’s why the F-INSAS project was initiated in the previous decade. 6) Because the warship designs take a long time to be frozen by the IN’s Naval Design Bureau. 7) Turkey’s TFX will forever remain a paper design, while the FC-31 will be delivered to Pakistan late in the following decade. 8) Totally untrue. 9) Diameter of the HWT launch-tubes is narrower than that of the BrahMos-1. The narrower BrahMos-NG will be compatible with existing HWT launch-tubes. 10) Onlt time will tell.
Prasun da Came across this talk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsqrXHduB8Y by Abjhijit where he mentions that IAF pilots are not properly trained on computer systems and other basic skill which are required for Rafael and other western technologies. He goes on say that IAF screwed up on Su-30 procurement because of lack of understanding of newer technologies. What is being done by forces to train people on newer technologies ?
1) Is it true that the K-4 has had multiple failures in recent times, with the failures involving an inability to launch off its pontoon itself ? There was an article about this by an India Today journalist in April this year.
2) Will further tests of the K-4 happen in the near future ?
Hi Prasun, Having grown up in most orthodox Brahmin family, the only thing that opened my mind is Science and History. Vedic or any other text, be it from another religion is of Human origin, possible written by males and is purely BS. Religion in any form is just manifestation age old tribal instinct.
Any glorification of same, other than for academic nature has been tool for right wing for centuries. Similarities between 70's Pakistan , Afghanistan, Iran , early 90's Bangladesh, and turkey from previous decade. And present India is not just coincidence. One of the main Fuel for these demographic patterns are these pseudo scientific analysis. We can ignore these only at our on Peril.
https://theprint.in/defence/china-bhutan-close-to-striking-doklam-deal-holding-line-could-become-working-boundary/302273/ Sir china with its deep pocket and financial military might is challenging India where it hurts most....Does India have any alternative to address the issue..
Finally Chinese Military gives the first warning to HK Protestors.
1) Is HK protestors going to fight till end or surrender to PLA. 2) Is there any chance for CIA action to continue the protest. 3) Can Indian RAW uses this protest to keep china boiling.
I just want to make a few observations on your statements. They are personal observations.
When you mentioned being born in an orthodox Brahmin family and how your modern education changed your scientic outlook. This drastic change of outlook is quite radical, where you are unwilling to hear out, research and even venture to look into the possibility of the things mentioned in the video. All with a dismissive right-wing mambo-jumbo narritive, as you say.
In the several scientists that I happen to call as friends - some of them with several international patents to their names - there is a single thread of behavior common to all. They are never dismissive to a proposition. And they are always, as a rule, willing to show a degree of sceptisicm in their own beliefs.
They are always open to enquiry to others propositions and are willing to be challenged on their own.
However, on the otherside, all new converts to an ideology show a few peculier common charecteristics. They are always vehement in their own position being right, and absolutely right, and the "others" are treated with a label.... here in your case "right wing".
If you are really of the scientic bent of mind, you may think of removing that aura of certainty and give the devil its due. Have an enquiring mind. Look into the merits of the others point of view. Its then, that you can really call yourself being of a scientific temperament.
India did have the worlds first ever official university, which were visited by students from around the world and where everything was debated, argued and researched. Nalanda University.
Kane
P.S: Prasunda, sorry for diverting from the topic of this thread.
this is serious bad news for india on eastern front even as china is going all out to support pak on kashmir
2. IN could indeed go for attack helicopter version of IAC 1/INS Vikrant just like USN LHA6/7 that dont have well deck but that will require King Stallion helo in large number and few sea apache
3. from what i figure IAF can make do with 4++/4+++ generation jets equipped with PGM/Standoff weapons, since India doesnt have expeditionary ambitions something for which 5th gen jets are suited. as such focus should be on
a. getting as many MiG 29 UPGs from Russia, Mirage 2000 from France (kept in reserve) & Brazil (retired in 2018),
b. a few more Jaguars (retire/in reserve) that can be mothballed for keeping the current fleet running post engine upgrade
c. focus of LCA Tejas SPORT/LIFT as well as Tejas mk1A and MWF Mk2
VMT for the elaborate tech reply . When you say matrix IIR sensor are you talking about QWIP ir quantum well sensors for the mica -ng?
there are Russian web pages that mention that the sfdr missile has been help[ed by them?
what are the radar bands that stealth ac are supposed to be immune to? will it be a possible to mount UHF AESA radr on a awacs so that stealth ac are detected ?.? tell us about hensholdt passive radar that detected the f-35?
? what makes you say that the igla -s is better than the mistral?
An auspicious occasion on the double for IAF which is obviously why RM takes delivery of RB001 today. My query, Sirjee, is regarding the released image of RB001 seems to be a tandem seater / trainer. Why 8 Tandem Seater & 28 Single Seaters?! This means either 44 more single seaters i.e total of 4.5 squadrons (including the half size Maritime Strike Role from Jaguars) or will the tandem seaters play additional role of airborne command & control posts for guiding other aircraft, drones, standoff weapons, Electronic Warfare, etc.? Or maybe bigger squadrons? Looking forward to interesting clarifications
1) VMT. Is the lack of K-4 testing then because the K-4 is just meant as a tchnology demonstrator that enables progress towards the definitive SLBM ? Or are there other technical difficulties that caused this slowdow ?
2) Was there a failed test of the ASAT interceptor in Feb this year before the successful one in March, as some analysts have written quoting ``sources in the U.S. military" ?
1- HAL workers striking work,, Claasic case of old habits dying hard inspite of now being a public ltd company .. your take 2- Now that the new IAF chief has given his support to the 114 MMRCA buy. is F -21 still in pole position & wot benefits can be expected from this MMRCA towards aerospace ecosystem development 3 - Will it be too expensive to bundle both IAF & IN req for fighters & ask Dassault to manufacture them here
Prasun sir, 1.why Chinese cannot export j-10 aircraft? Is it because Israel iai put restriction on export before transfer of technology for lavi aircraft?
U.S. Green-Lights Turkish Incursion Into Northeastern Syria
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL8yXmXHrSg
US betrayed Kurd's by quitting Syria. It is a good lesson for India.
Doing business with DEVIL US is very danger business. Never trust US. India should always side with Russia. But this BJP/RSS is so much interested to do business with US with ISRAEL support.
Poor Kurd's always betrayed by US. This monster Turkish army will do Genocide inside Syrian Village. In Kashmir case turkey is supporting Independence. But in Kurdish case, they are opposing. Indian government should Oppose Turkish action.
Mu opinion is Indian military should support Kurd's by training and giving other logistics support.

I want to apologize beforehand, I'm truly sorry for disappointing your muslim visitors.
Suicide bombers are expecting beautiful women but getting grapes instead – Here’s why:
I bring to your attention, "The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the koran: A Contribution to the Decoding of the Language of the Koran” written by Christoph Luxenberg, an expert in ancient Semitic languages. He explores in this book what we can glean of the evolution of the koran. His book is a an important reference of a critical studies of the koran. This book proves that koran has been changed over the centuries. This book explains why many words in the koran have no meaning, and the answer is simply because these words are Syriac and not Arabic. According to Luxenberg, the koran was not written in classical Arabic but in a mixed Arabic-Syriac language, the traders’ language of Mecca and it was based on Christian liturgical texts. When the final text of the koran was codified, those working on it did not understand the original sense and meaning of this hybrid trading language any more, and they forcefully and randomly turned it into classical Arabic. This gave rise to a lot of misinterpretations. Something like this can only have happened if there was a gap in the oral transmission of the koranic text (There goes the theory that koran is the perfect unsullied book protected by the ever watchful al Lah).
Luxenberg shows that many obscurities of the Koran disappear, if we read certain words as being Syriac and not Arabic. I cannot go into the technical details of his methodology but it allows Luxenberg, to the probable horror of all muslim males dreaming of sexual bliss in the muslim hereafter, to conjure away the wide-eyed houris promised to the faithful in suras XLIV.54; LII.20, LV.72, and LVI.22. Luxenberg ‘s new analysis, leaning in the Hymns of Ephrem the Syrian, yields “white raisins” of “crystal clarity” rather than doe-eyed, and ever willing virgins – the houris. Luxenberg claims that the context makes it clear that it is food and drink that is being offered, and not unsullied maidens or houris.
In Syriac, the word ‘hur’ is a feminine plural adjective meaning white, with the word “raisin” understood implicitly. Similarly, the immortal, pearl-like ephebes or youths of suras such as LXXVI.19 are really a misreading of a Syriac expression meaning chilled raisins (or drinks) that the just will have the pleasure of tasting in contrast to the boiling drinks promised to the unfaithful and damned. Muslimahs and Kafirs are going to have the last laugh.
India can not support the Balochis because it will be seen as India supporting the right to self determination within a sovereign state; exactly the same with the Kurds. Pakistan in fact has been highly successful in creating a chess game like situation for India with regards to J&K - any move other than just J&K would be a checkmate. Whether Kashmiris would like to secede from India, Pakistan and China have been highly successful in giving a minority section majority voice. With China eating away in the North East, if India lets J&K go, the entire NE will be hard to keep in the Indian federation. So it's a headache that has turned into a migraine for India- thanks to lack of vision and action by successive Indian leaders.
An Air Force Veteran and senior defence analyst said the upgraded radar would likely be the NIIP N035 Irbis E (Snow Leopard), a 20 KW class steerable hybrid ESA radar fitted on the Su-35. “At full power, the radar can detect an F-35 at a distance of 58-km (36-mi), In tracking mode, the distance drops to 29km,” Vijainder K Thakur, Air Force veteran and defence analyst having hawk eyes on technological development said.
"time consuming warned former Test Pilot. ADA says that design of MWF was frozen in 2018 and previous close-coupled canard work on Mk1 has helped Engineers and designers collect a lot of Research data before and same has been applied after numerous computer-aided simulations have taken place on current MWF design which shows that aircraft will not require stringent flight testing as required previously. Metal cutting work for First pre-production aircraft MWF will start soon and HAL already has been ordering ground tools required for the development of the aircraft from the vendors as per tender documents which have been accessed by idrw.org. idrw.org has been informed that at least three pre-production aircraft MWF aircraft will be developed in next few years by ADA which will be exclusively used to fast rack its developmental circle so that it is ready for production by 2025-26. When asked about the complex and time-consuming testing of close-coupled canards and its software certification, idrw.org was informed that in phases, additional capabilities will be made available and ADA has finalized all of the software development before conducting flight trials, so that capabilities are added in phases and the whole spectrum is tested and bugged out before it enters production. MWF will not have TD (Technology Demonstrators ) or Prototype aircraft but will have pre-production aircraft which will be IOC standard equipment from the start and more pieces of equipment related to Final Operational Certification (FOC) standard will be added and tested before it is cleared for large scale production but limited Serial production of the aircraft will be underway even before FOC is granted which will reduce developmental circle. ADA already has received dozen-plus GE-F414IN engines from 2017 onwards for the program and these engines are been regularly tested and serviced by GE trained staff and GE will also be closely involved in installation and integration of this engines in first pre-production aircraft. Development of AESAR Active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, infrared search and track, additional avionics and oxygen system, electronic warfare suite, extensive sensor suite, Next-generation display cockpit, and flight test instrumentation are already in development and will be ready by 2020-21 for integration. ADA will not follow the earlier set of flight test method adapted when LCA-Tejas Mk1 was in development, the goal now is to get more out of each flight test hour and carry out multiple trials of equipment to reduce flight regime which was previously followed. LCA-Tejas Mk1 flight regime was slow and painful due to fear of accidents and crashes which had the potential of closing down of the whole program and lack of experience in testing a brand new aircraft also didn’t help and a whole set of methods had to be developed which was perfected by trial by fire by ADA and HAL. duplication, meaningless flight tests, and clueless engineers were quite common in initial years of the program, instead of accelerating the program after the arrival of the TD and Prototype aircraft, the program slowed down and both had to learn from their mistakes and fast adapt which often were time-consuming. When MWF enters flight test regime, the evaluation team will be tasked to achieve major milestones for the program quite early which will include attaining supersonic flight, achieve flights maneuvering targets, testing of the carefree-handling of the flight control system and commence load tests. Testing of the onboard equipment will begin pretty much soon their after and any integration teething issues or bugs"
I have been reading your previous posts and responses to people asking questions. Overall, its a depressing scenario all around.
So, I want to know which areas are promising on the defence-industrial front in India? Are we moving ahead substantially in some sectors? Is there hope for the Indian military aviation and naval buildup, at all?
Some positive aspects plz as I am sick of reading all this negativity. Thanks
The ET's def correspondent when writing about RAFALE claims that the IAF needs to field 2 Su-30MKI against the PAK F-16. This according to him to counter the superior radar of the f16. Is this factual?
It is clear China is playing borrowed knife plan with India i.e using pakistan against us. If so we take advantage and sign with China some treaty that mutually we will not go war against each other in any situation unless extreme condition(nuclear) via Russia. Kinda it is self-block on us and also will lessen the tension with China. It changes the scenario for Pak no ?
Also internal security aspect , can we bring in some laws in India
-> Untouchability is unlawful and consider more than murder & prosecute using all scientific forensics. -> Officially list all religious practices (all religions) and tag with scientific benefits (both negative and positive along pyschological aspects) and put TV adverts for each one of them . like cigarette use warning -> Optional military training for civilians ...2 yr course like any undergraduation but not required to join military
Hi sir, hope u r doing well...😊 1)i have request to u, can u make us see the details of presentation made to Rajnath Singh by Safran in France on Kaveri JV. Coz things have freezed due to various disagreements... N some sources claim of being offered a new engine JV, though not verified... So I request to please throw some light on this issue... 2) also toi published a news of su30mki upgrade n it mentioned a new PESA radar version... 20kw etc etc... Question is why still russians are offering PESA or hybrid ESA radar rather then AESA even after knowing that world is moving ahead towards AESA tech or even quantum radars etc etc... https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.timesofindia.com/india/iafs-sukhois-to-get-more-advanced-avionics-radars/amp_articleshow/71471211.cms Thanks.
In the western world it is well know that all F-16s are monitored in Pakland by personnel on the ground, due to the sensitivity of teck ending in China's hand. They would know if any shot down. Very early it came out from US sources, none were. Why did the IAF continue to insist that they did when every evidence pointed to anything but that? Has there been degradation of standards?
and now they are trying to demonstrate that su-30 was not shot down but in an amateurish way. WHY?
Has PAF finally caught up with IAF in terms of quality?
I understand if these questions are critical in nature and you may not want to publish, but they need to be asked.
Prasun Da, the way everyone is frawning over Rafale makes me uncomfortable. Everyone is dissing Su-30 mki since Feb 27. One newspaper ran a story as per which some IAF source told them that 2 Su-30 mkis equal 1 F-16. People say if we had Rafale PAF would not have dared to come anywhere close to loc. This sounds very defeatist. As if our super maneuverable Sukhois are not capable enough to knock those F-16s down. During Kargil PAF did not dare to engage in any confrontation fearing Mig-29 then how can they engage Su-30 mkis? How can these block 42/50 F-16s get upper hand against air superiority fighter like Su-30 mki in NVR or WVR combat??
1 )whcih rifle the Indian armed forces will be ordering as there new service rifle
Will it be the AK-203 (the russian jv in amethi) or the 7.62mm rifle the OFB made that recently cleared the trials of the home ministry.
2)what is the status of the Sig716 and the caracal carbines that were being ordered
3) what are your thoughts about the sniper rifles the Bengaluru based company SSS defence created, the viper(.308) and the Sabre(.338 lapua), just by the looks they looked pretty good, but hardly any info about them.
Sorry for diverting, but just thinking if just the basic infantry gear doesn't get updated in time with decent equipment, big ticket acquisitions like 5gen fighters, tanks, subs and ships will take decades atleast to get sorted out.
Hi hundred, I think this link can explain u regarding hybrid ESA radar... Basically it's a mechanically moved radar with electronic beam scanning of sector, so a combination of electronic as well as traditional mechanical systems... Doesn't seems to be as good as AESA... Read for further details 👇
To JOYDEEP GHOSH: 1) Don’t believe everything churned out by ‘desi patrakaars’. 2) Leave alone going for such hardware, the IN & IA can’t even agree on a unified concept of amphibious warfare & that’s why both have issued RFIs for procuring LCAC-type hovercraft. 3 & 4) If that’s the case then how will the DRDO’s ADA be able to milk the Indian taxpayer for sinking money on fruitless projects like the AMCA? 5) Because there’s nothing to reveal until February next year.
To RADHA/RAD: Matrix-IIR sensor refers to dual-band (IR/UV) optronic sensor. There has been ZERO inputs of any kind in SFDR from Russia. There’s no such thing as immunity from RF reflections. Stealth itself means ‘low observability’ & NOT Zero Observability. Passive RF sensors only listen for & locate RF emissions of all types. They are not radars. Igla-S is shoulder-fired, whereas the Mistral is not.
To KAUSTAV: In every IAF sqn of 18 aircraft, four of them are always tandem-seaters for flight conversion purposes. Hence, two Rafale sqns will each have four tandem-seaters, or 8 of them out of the 36 on order. As for the OSF, it was all explained here long ago:
To SATYAKI: 1) No, the K-4 is an operational SLBM. Whether or not India has deployed operational SLBMs can easily be found out by locating the shore-based SLBM loading/unloading goliath cranes. So far, no such cranes have been set up in any operational naval base of the IN. 2) Pure speculation.
To LOKI: That was a translation error. The term nuclear reactors refers to French industrial participation in India’s fast-breeder nuclear reactor programme.
To AMIT BISWAS & KAUSTAV: LoLz! No amount of religious incantations or writings on the aircraft’s nose or breaking cocunuts will come in handy when it comes to preventing the kind of air-crashes that are due to sheer negligence, especially in air bases like Ambala where bird-strikes have occurred the most since the late 1970s. As to how non-serious the MoD & Air HQ have been in terms of preventing fatal air-crashes from bird-strikes this reveals it all:
So, instead of travelling to France & wasting time on theatrics, the RM should have instead spent his time on expediting the procurements of such bird-detection radars before the Rafales start arriving in India. Unfortunately, sound common-sense i8s still a rarity in today’s India.
To JUST_CURIOUS: The Super Sukhoi project was conceived way back in 2009 & it was at the 2011 Aero India expo in Bengaluru that the then IAF CAS, ACM P V Naik, had spelled out the details of this project. And here is another pointer:
So, anyone claiming that PESA-MMRs will continue to be on-board the upgraded Super Su-30MKIs is being delusional & is lying outright. 1) Only solution to this is govt divestment. 2) No one is saying that the 114 combat aircraft being sought will be MMRCAs. The official term used is the MRFA, meaning the MMRCA & MRFA projects are two totally different procurement exercises. 3) How much more time will I have to explain that no one in the world can licence-build 4th-generation MRCAs? 4) I had always stated that the AK-203s are meant for BOTH the RR & the CPAFs & paramilitary Assam Rifles.
To MOHAN: No, it is Russia that supplies AL-31FN turbofans to China for the J-10s that has not released an export licence for the AL-31FN turbofans.
To SENTHIL KUMAR: It is best not to jump to premature conclusions about who the real devil is, for POTUS is now in the process of sorting out Turkey’s President Erdogan.
To THEHUNDRED: The Super Sukhoi project was conceived way back in 2009 & it was at the 2011 Aero India expo in Bengaluru that the then IAF CAS, ACM P V Naik, had spelled out the details of this project. And here is another pointer:
So, anyone claiming that PESA-MMRs will continue to be on-board the upgraded Super Su-30MKIs is being delusional & is lying outright.
To RAJNISH R: Life was NEVER meant to be a bed of roses. Nor was meant to be full of thorns. Therre are no extremes or wild lendulum swings in life.
To RAM BHARADWAJ & KAPIL: Perhaps that ‘desi patrakaar’ read some portions of this blog & realised that since one out of every two aircraft uses externally-mounted ASPJ pods, consequently two IAF combat aircraft will be reqd to counter one hostile aircraft. This situation can be changed if only every IAF aircraft is equipped with internally-mounted self-protection jammers, like the Rafales & upgraded Jaguar IS/DARIN-3 & MiG-29UPG already are.
Firstly, SAFRAN NEVER promised to develop the Kaveri turbofan for India. All it agreed to do was to supply its engine core that could be integrated with the rest of the turbofan (i.e. the LP/HP compressor sub-sections & the exhaust nozzle). It is GTRE that now has to develop these 3 sub-sections with the help of ceramics-based composite materials. But this is far easier said than done, since the rotating shafts of the LP/HP compressor sub-sections require ultra-high precision ball-bearings of the kind not available in India (even for the Dhanush-45 such ball-bearings for the gun traverse system have to be imported from Germany) & hence the inferior ball-bearings now being used on Kaveri during bench-tests prioduce a loud whining sound. This problem is very similar to the ones witnessed on roof-mounted or table-top fans that become noisy whenever they rotate. Hence, the offset commitments of SAFRAN can be fully implemented if instead of the Kaveri (whose design is still sub-optimal) SAFRAN’s assistance is sought for completing the development of HAL’s HTFE-25 trubofan & HTSE-1200 turboshaft. 2) The Super Sukhoi project was conceived way back in 2009 & it was at the 2011 Aero India expo in Bengaluru that the then IAF CAS, ACM P V Naik, had spelled out the details of this project. And here is another pointer:
So, anyone claiming that PESA-MMRs will continue to be on-board the upgraded Super Su-30MKIs is being delusional & is lying outright.
To SHIV: Differently? For starters, instead of using PGMs, HSLD bombs should have been dropped to level that entire camp & all its man-made structures. All contract personnel & USAF personnel based in Pakistan for monitoring the PAF’s F-16 fleet are not allowed to say anything unauthorised & hence no one will say anything at all. Till to darte, NO ONE has produced any evidence to prove that a PAF F-16 was not shot down or an IAF Su-30MKI was shot down.
VMT. If the K-4 is meant to be eventually operational, what has prevented further flight testing from a pontoon since 2014 ? The only known flight test of this system seems to have been in 2014. Is it a political decision to delay the development of these systems ?
Thanks for the clarification. Even with LIFT type trainers, will a fighter squadron need 4 conversion trainers? My mistake was 2 type trainers per squadron. In that case too, Sir, your suggestion of 22 aircraft per fighter squadron is logical.
@Pierre Zorin - At least, I'm honest. You're as anonymous as I'm. It looks like you created a fake blog, "The Aussie Book of Bisdom", with just one post in 2015 just to create a spurious online identity. In your haste, you misspelled 'Wisdom' as 'Bisdom'. There are no personal details of you, not even a fake photo. You may want to fix that. Anyway, I meant it as a satire, when I apologized to muslims for denying their 72 houris in the afterlife as they're anyway going to end up in Hindu Naraka. I also noticed you had nothing to offer on Luxenberg's thesis on koran being scripted and revised by ordinary mortals. It's like a rotten fish. The stink never really goes away even after 1400 years of several alterations and improvements. I will stop being anonymous, when muslims stop following koran. Here is why:
Quranic verses that dictate beheading Kaffirs (Kafir by the way means filth, dirt, vermin, animal, ungrateful): 5:33—The punishment of those who wage war against al Lah and his messenger, and strive to make mischief through the land is: execution (by beheading), or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;
8:12—I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off.
47:4—Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), strike off their heads; at length; then when you have made wide Slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives: thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens.
9:123—Oh ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers and let them find harshness in you.
2:191—Kill them wherever you find them...
2:193—Fight them on until there is no more tumult and religion becomes that of al Lah
9:29—Fight those who do not believe in God and the last day...and fight People of the Book, (Christian and Jews) who do not accept the religion of truth (islam) until they pay tribute (Jizziya tax) by hand, being inferior.
8:17—It is not ye who Slew them; it is God; when thou threwest a handful of dust, it was not Thy act, but God’s…..
Pierre Zorin, next time you open your wise mouth, I'll spank you with more verses.
Please do not sully this blog with religious matters; lets keep it the way it is designed by the author/owner; now that the narrative has changed in India; bide your time and do the needful when there is certainty of 100% success; meanwhile work on the self strength and identify the weaknesses of adversaries for swift and effective actions. 1200 years of humiliation (at least in some parts) of our country will not be easy to wipe.
PAF recently released a video of F-16 targetting indian post. As you described, it was the only video. So can we expect that the PAF operation on 27 Feb was partially successful?
Firstly, the 1st non-Russian weapon to arm the Su-30MKKIs were the combination of Litening LDP from RAFAEL & the Griffin-3 LGB from Elbit Systems. Secondly, AIM-132 ASRAAM is 100% USELESS unless it is integrated with a HMDS. Unfortunately, these ‘desi patrakaars’ are squeeking about SRAAMs while remaining totally clueless about the reqmt for a brand-new HMDS. While all non-Russian HMDS can be integrated with ASRAAM, such non-Russian HMDS will have to be integrated with the on-board sensors located on either side of the Su-30MKI’s front cockpit ejection seat that sense the movements in azimuth/elevation of the HMDS & also with the Suy-30MKI’s on-board IRST sensor. And no such integration of either the HMDS or a new HMDS/SRAAM combination can be done UNLESS Russia agrees to share the source-codes for the weapons integration software. And such sharing cannot be done since April 2014 due to Western sanctions against Russia. That’s also the reason why Meteor BVRAAMs can’t arm Su-30MKIs or even the Tejas Mk.1A (since the latter’s EL/M-2052 AESA-MMR’s source-codes have not been shared with either the IAF or with MBDA). The ONLY Western HMDS integrated so far with a Russia-origin MRCA is the TopOwl-F & that too for the MiG-29K of the IN & this work was done back in the previous decade. So, unless a new non-Russian HMDS is first selected for the Su-30MKI, it will be impossible to arm the Su-30MKI with any non-Russian SRAAM.
To SATYAKI: You are asking the same question that I had already answered yesterday, i.e. a pontoon can never simulate conditions inside any SSBN. Unless any SLBM is fired from a SSBN, how can it become operational? And how can be SLBM be fired from a SSBN when its shore-based loading/unloading system is still non-existent?
To KAUSTAV: One needs to keep 2 points in mind: 1) Any LIFT platform is only meant for flying training & will therefore never be a part of any operational squadron. 2) The LIFT variant of the LCA (i.e. Sport version) will have sidestick-mounted control stick & throttles as part of the HOTAS architecture, meaning that cockpit will replicate the cockpit environment of the Rafale, since that is the only combat aircraft of the IAF that will have sidestick-mounted control-sticks & throttles. All other IAF combat aircraft now have sidestick-mounted throttles & centre-mounted control-sticks. In fact, the MWF-AF Mk.2 too will have sidestick-mounted throttle & control-stick as per present plans. Hence, one must never mix the two together, i.e. the LIFT platform & any operational conversion trainer are two totally different solutions for totally different reqmts. For instance, the LCA Sport has a conventional HUD whereas the Rafale comes with a wide-angle holographic HUD, meaning the imagery of the Litening LDP on Tejas Mk.1/Mk/.1A & MWF-AF Mk.2 will be displayed on am AMLCD display screen in the cockpit, whereas on the Rafale the imagery will be shown superimposed on the wide-angle HUD.
To JUST_CURIOUS: Well, the MWF-AF Mk.2 too is envisaged as a MRFA. And the Rafale qualifies as both MRFA & MMRCA. So, the common-sensical solution is to go for more Rafales (up to 126) while ensuring that the Tejas Mk.1A gets equipped with pylon-mounted underwing attachments housing MAWS sensors & ELT-568 jammers, with the weapons ejectors being located below such attachments. In addition, the Tejas Mk.1A’s inflight refuelling capability, coupled with the DRDO sharing the Astra-1 BVRAAM’s cource-code with IAI/ELTA Systems for integration with the EL/M-2052 AESA-MMR, all will to a large extent transform this platform into a quasi-MRFA.
To GANESH: There is no need at all to wipe off 1,200 years of humiliation at all, since what’s been done cannot be undone. Instead, one must honestly acknowledge the reasons behind such humiliation, which to me appears to be self-imposed. For example, the Jains would have found it humiliating to be marginalised by Asoka prior to the Kalinga War & the natives of Kalinga too would have accused Asoka of committing genocide. Likewise, what would the natives of India have said had Allauddin Khilji been unable to stop the marauding Mongol hordes from invading northern India? In more recent times, has anyone ever asked a Ladakhi how he/she felt back in 1999 during OP Vijay when India’s armed service chiefs & some ‘netas’ rushed to pay their televised last respects to the fallen warriors hailing from almost every corner of the country, except from Ladakh?
To ASD: How can it be perceived/assumed as being successful when: A) the video never showed any target as being hit or destroyed. B) when no material damage was ever caused to any targetted IA ground installation? At least in the IAF’s case, the terror-training facility in Balakot was out-of-bounds for 42 days & no one was allowed to go to the top of the hillock to see for oneself the damage caused by the IAF. And this is the last time I will be answering such a question. Any further soul-searching on this issue will have to be done by others elsewhere.
I guess we are facing severe difficulties developing MIRVs. That's why neither K4 nor Agni 5 have become operational yet. The current version of agni 5 might be deployed soon. But it has only one warhead.
Would the grave be marked to the Anonymous soldier? By the way I don't worry about the verses because I don't read them and don't believe in them. I am more concerned about PKS spanking you with much more than a verse as I know he is just about had it with any anonymous!
The PWR on-board the Arihant-class SSBN has a total technical service life of only 12,500 hours of operation.
Rolls Royce boasts that the Tempest MRCA’s stealthily recessed adaptive-cycle turbofans will be made of lightweight composite materials, feature superior thermal management and digital maintenance controls, and generate large quantities of electricity through magnets in the turbine cores. Surplus electricity may be of particular interest for powering directed energy weapons, which could range from lasers to microwaves. The US Air Force plans to test a defensive anti-missile laser turret for its jets in the early 2020s, but the Tempest presentation mentions using direct energy weapons for ‘non-kinetic’ purposes, which may imply disrupting or damaging adversary sensors.
So to all those clamouring for the so-called 'desi AMCA', dream on, dream away.
And the low-band jammers on board the IAF Rafales are contained within the frontal & rear sections of the wingtip-mounted AAM launch-rails. The RAFAEL-supplied towed decoy jammer's twin launcher with recovery winch will be mounted in the belly aft of the centreline fuel tank's pylon.
1) You once said that we obtained MIRV designs from our Russian partners. If that is so, why would we be taking this long to develop MIRVs ? Are we falling behind schedule on this matter ?
2) Can we continue the internet and mobile lockdown in J&K indefinitely ? We should not prematurely restore these services and allows troublemakers to get the upper hand.
My response was in light of the usual to digress from topic of interest that you are gladly sharing and I am surprised and happy that you responded; again, it was a comment/opinion rather than question Now delving into the aspects of religion, I personally see (not preaching or brainwashing anybody), economic prosperity helps in galvanizing people and it is important to preserve way of life than anything; the current encouraging environment for making economic gains for those who are willing or inclined to is all that is required. Sanatana dharma has the knowledge and freedom to achieve one's aspirations, it is a matter of accepting and appreciating it, please do not go by what is a commentary, better to read the original written in Sanskrit or Tamil (for its original works). 90% of knowledge of Sanatana dharma is orally transferred to the deserving and they do not put those in their name plates and flow of knowledge transcends many dimensions. Knowledgeable people are not fools to write them for morphing into something else. The knowledge is written only when it needs to reach wider audience, which is the basis for dumb heads to put a date and age for our culture and other associated conspiracy theories to discredit and promote their crap.
There have been aberrations in the form of losers trying to change the narrative like Buddhism, Jainism and the recent obvious ones. For me, life is living the full with happiness and satisfaction for self and my ilk while preserving and if possible enriching the Sanatana dharma
My two hoots to those who impose something they perceive as more correct than others. Otherwise, India in his present physical boundaries would have become Iran, Afghanistan, Philippines or Korea (recently) where they did somersaults to convert en-masse.
Thanks for the space; I do not expect a response from you. Ganesh
Prasun sir, take a look at this https://youtu.be/pse6o8aYH7E My querry is cant we hv same capability in our rafale? Cant thales and drdo jointly develop this for rafale?.. This is the end of era of HUD.
I am an anthropologist by profession and historian by passion. Have ever tried to talk to a white man about his white privilege ? when an orthodox Brahmin attains scientific temper, first thing he realizes is his privilege. That helps him in understanding the social dynamics of Indian Subcontinent. A divided civilization, which transfers power and knowledge based on ones social status, are marked for failure.
Their is nothing to hear out, they may sound new to you. For any historian, the pattern brings up Joseph Goebbels. What they are doing is classic "death by a thousand cuts" method. It takes me around 2,3 weeks pull out a journal with proper reference, that too in my area of expertise. To rebuke their every videos or watsapp forwards is enormous task. Each person should develop logical thinking to understand the pattern or metadata to filter out junks.
... What is needed is the scientific approach, the adventurous and yet critical temper of science, the search for truth and new knowledge, the refusal to accept anything without testing and trial, the capacity to change previous conclusions in the face of new evidence, the reliance on observed fact and not on pre-conceived theory, the hard discipline of the mind—all this is necessary, not merely for the application of science but for life itself and the solution of its many problems... from The Discovery of India
Eventually this war would see the decline of country and its religion, because their no things as little pseudo science or little propaganda. As an example, lemons being crushed under jets or Isro Scientist visiting temple before launches, these are symptoms. You will see these so called cultural activity growing up in numbers and being celebrated. Eventually one day , people would walk up to present Iran or turkey.
And finally , their is nothing am loosing here, may be only remorse of my native country. I am happy staying outside with small vacations once in a while.
Why 1,200 years of humiliation? Its 1,200 years of keeping your culture, fighting, surviving and thriving. Where the world used to come to you for material gains.
Now your best are dying to run to the world for few dollars and sell their homeland for even less. Where you make headline for number of toilets you have built or how many cows have been saved to now wonder you cities and starve to death. Where your own people are ashamed of your own culture and ape others. This is your real humiliation, you are living it now.
Question is what are you doing about it? What lessons have you learnt from the past? Do study history of any nation/empire in intricate detail, analyse and understand how they united, built and became great.
Too much of science becomes scientific and too much of scientific turns in to scientific socialism as envisaged by Friedrich Engels. Actually this too much becomes too much and just see what happened!
I partially agree with your point of view; acknowledging the past is relevant; however, getting fixated to it is a handicap, use it as fuel for positive self growth. For me, the best solution is grow economically (either at home land or alien land), be yourself; keep your culture and values intact and you will be the winner (again in your own terms). It is true characters like Leo Varadkar and Piyush "Bobby" Jindal are bad examples. All it takes is one Adi Shankaracharya or one Vivekananda or one Saint Chaintanya or one Saint Raghavendra to change the narrative in a short span of time. Let those who live in their comfort level be where they are. Sanatana dharma does not impose that a certain thing must be done in a certain way. Thanks, Ganesh
To KRITAVARMA: 1) Why so long? For the very same reasons that the INS Arihant’s procurement contract was inked in 1989 but its keel-laying took place only in mid-1998, the vessel as launched in July 2009 but it went out to sea only in 2016. 2) Not possible in today’s world. But the problems are much more deeper, for which long-term decisions need to be made. Here is a good explanation of what the problems are:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uidx7uPTjNM&t=43s
To MOHAN: 1) And what will be superimposed on the holographic HUD? Right now, the JF-17 does not even sport a LDP. 2) What China has developed is not a holographic HUD, but a wide-angle HUD of the kind seen on the J-20 & the upgraded J-11A/Bs.
To SUJIT: That will come in future during the Rafale’s mid-life upgrade. Presently, the F-35 JSF remains the world’s only MRCA without HUD.
To RAT2: The world’s history teaches us that all kingdoms/empires undergo a 3-stage process: build-up, prosperity & finally destruction due to decadence. Nothing lasts forever.
To SHUBHAM: These are all artificial categories formulated by the IAF to denote different types of procurement programmes. In reality, thyere are only 2 functional categories: medium-MRCA & heavy-MRCA. Hence, in terms of capabilities, the ‘desi’ MWF & the imported MRFA will share the same operating parameters. The Rafale, although labelled as a M-MRCA, is in fact far more superior & versatile than the Su-30MKI H-MRCA.
To ASD: What kind of tw-front scenario are you talking about? Two-front all-out conventional war, or tw-front high-intensity limited conventional war, or a border skirmish?
prasun sir, 1 it seem like jf-17 has much lower range than lca mk1 and block 1 & 2 only has air combat role and some unguided bomb be fired. therefore it can only can replace j-7 aircraft not mirage 3&5.what aircraft will PAF chose to replace its own MRCA aircraft?
2.Can jf-17 block 3 make any difference to air power against india?
About 5G in India Airtel boss has put all his eggs on huawei saying it’s way superior n affordable for Indians without any comment on security issue....Piyush Goyal dodged the question saying very capable n competent minister in helm to get 5G solution in India whereas that competent person has given this statement https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/3-films-made-120-crore-in-a-day-ravi-shankar-prasad-says-economy-fine-2115852?pfrom=home-topscroll
He screwed up trai, dth services which lost 25% of customers in last 4 months and made biggest blunder With this kind of buffoon in helm leading 2 or 3 ministries where do you think NDA 3 is heading towards Ron
To ASD: For even a limited high-intensity two-front conventional war lasting about 2 weeks, the IAF will not be able to put up a good fight without 60 squadrons of MRCAs of all types.
To MOHAN: LoLz! The arseholes in Pakistan are already comparing the JF-17 with the Rafale!!! Here, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlqHgZhjcgk
And here are the latest updates from the 5th China Helicopter Expo now underway at Tianjin:
And the Z-20 medium-lift helicopter (a clone of the Sikorsky Black Hawk) is China’s first helicopter to have a fly-by-wire flight-control system. Here it is:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D4ZecvEXsAASZXF.jpg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-K1ZMMFLJ4
And BTW, NaMo will not be going to Pakistan (as the desi patrakaars are claiming) on November 8. Instead, he will be inaugurating the Pilgrims’ terminal Building on the Indian side of the Sri Kartarpur Corridor. But NaMo is due to participate in the FUTURE INVESTMENT INITIATIVE 2019 on October 29th & 31st at the Ritz Carlton and the King Abdul Aziz Conference Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
First thing first..thanks to you.Now me and my small group of friends by reading your blog are aware of how things are in reality when it comes to India's defence related matters. My question is as the winter approaches are we going to see a retake of pojk or has the government again developed cold feet on it..or is it that unknown to the common civilians like me we have capability to operate in the mountains in winters retaking what was always ours. Some light on this matter would be appreciated.
I have a question? Do people spend money in the multiplexes when the economy slows down and financial crunch hits the society? I don't know Indians behaved like Americans...spend as if there is no tomorrow. The minister in question ...is he trying to indicate this by his statement?
https://twitter.com/FrontalFire7/status/1183316217538514944?s=19 Could you please tell us if such news of artillery assaults are true. Seeing such posts very often on Twitter.
Hello Prasunji! After a long time and several mid-sem exams, here are some questions based on some recent interesting development: 1.What do you think about future of Turkey? It seems EU countries are already taking stand. But POTUS seems to be unmoving. I guess great slaughter of Kurds is eminent. What do you think?
2.I personally met with the group of businessmen here is Rajkot, a city known for it's vast amount of Industries. Everyone were either willing to send their children abroad permanently or themselves willing to give up Indian citizenship.Everyone was saying that why we should stay here when we can't have our children's future better. Shockingly, majority of them are 2nd or 3rd generation industry owners. What is far more shocking is, even common people are criticize Indian Constitution (unlike in past where they criticized only netas). Seems the GOI is failing horribly to hear Grievances of fellow citizens, either rich or middle class. What do you think?
what is the role of pakistan in R&D of jf 17 (not the production part). they boast about it like the f 35.or the whole of the jet was developed by chinese and is being license produced in china. SHUBHAM
When we barefly have half the squadrons the IAF requires to put up a good fight in a two front limited high intensity war, what prevents PRC from precipitating one along with Pak to deliver the kind of blow that they did during 1962 or worse ?
To NAYANDEEP: Back in 1971 too the battles on the western front were fought in wintertime, i.e. in December.
To JOYDEEP GHOSH: Well, that depends on what cross-section of the population you are referring to. There’s the high-class & upper middle-class (collectively estimated to be more than 270 million) & the lower middle-class (about 300 million) & those who are BPL.
To SUMIT P: I will differ from such rozy portrayals & most of them are not factual. Instead, these can be corroborated from the other side of the LoC:
Fire-assaults by the IA conducted against Sharda, Dudhnial & Athmuqam:
To AMIT BISWAS: Elementary: deploy the Samyukta EW system from dawn to dusk in the affected areas. In West Asia, the only certainty now is that no one is siding with the hapless Kurds.
To PRAJJWAL DALAL: 1) Both Turkey & Pakistan are headed for disaster, since the former is being genocidal while the latter is being both genocidal & delusional. Thjat’s why IAKN yesterday stated in Teheran that he wants Iran to sign a new nuclear deal with the US. So let’s wait till he sets foot in Saudi Arabia & see what kind of drubbing he gets from Prince MBS. 2) Nothing wrong with that, for they are the ‘globalised Indian wannabes’ of today.
To SHUBHAM: There has been ZERO (0) R & D contribution from Pakistan. The JF-17 project began way back in the mid-1980s as the Super-7 & then the Super Sabre project.
To KRITAVARMA: Because the PLAAF is in an even worse situation, since greater urgent priorities all along coastal China stretching from the Korean peninsula, the Taiwan Straits & to the South China Sea are preventing the PLAAF from allocating adequate numbers of MRCAs along the Western Theatre, i.e. all along the LAC.
hi prasun pse explain how a some body with no experience in gun making like SSS defense of Bangalore can come up with state of the art sniper rifles!! if his claims are to believed
India seems to be asking for the integration of the astra missile on the 2nd hand mig-29s , w can we integrate the astra on all the older mig-29 in service due to that. Is that a quid pro? erdogan has become a pain in the arse for the world. just like pakistan. seems to black mail every body all around. why cant some body take him out?
Can INS Vikrant design be modified to accommodate EMALS system and would it be a cost effective alternative to say Elizabeth class aircraft carrier design.
Prasun sir, even retd.acm tipnis had also advocated for 60 squadron for optimum defence of indian skies..thats 1200 combat aircraft with 20 aircrafts in each squadron.. Though its not possible to achieve with imported aircrafts, do u think is it achievable even if iaf goes heavy on indigeneous tejas and mwf ?? Wouldn't it be good to have a 50 squadron for the air force and increase the squadron strength of indian naval air arm to 8 sqdrons?
Sir an out of context question, in April 19, GOI cleared purchase of 464 T90 tanks from Russia, u have already told this is just part of 1600 tanks contract signed earlier. Question is did they purchased T90M version or Any other?? Their was also information of fitting them with various electronics here in India only. If M version is purchased, then I think this turret will be coming to India. https://twitter.com/I30mki/status/1183770618379952128?s=19 Also, is it possible to upgrade all other versions to latest standards in protection, material, design change etc?? Your comments please.
Prasun Da, Serbia’s Yugoimport-SDPR has developed a new Sumadija 400mm guided artillery rocket with ranges exceeding 280 km.The Sumadija missile is intended for use against high-value, well-fortified, fixed targets and is armed with a 200-kg high-explosive or fragmentation warhead. May be this is the only system produced outside China. Can India procure this system? How good this system is?
a. Erdogan is in a big soup, I doubt whether he had just walk in to the trap laid by POTUS ? Also if Ankara directly clash with combined force of SAA, SDF, PKK & YPG, will there be a chance of involvement of Iran through its QUDS Force, and eventually a Shia Vs Sunni Standoff, and if a stalemate, Erdogan may face a coup back home, with its relation with India as well as Western Nation is going to nose dive ?
Requesting your views on the following, especially in the event of the new alliance reached between Asad and the Kurds . with Syrian Army arriving in the front, between thanks in advance .
https://youtu.be/23D8NlSPJTE First he gives Turkey permission to attack Syria and now sanctions turkey for it I mean what the hell Please present full picture from start
To RAD: Everything is possible, for where there’s wsill, there’s always a way. Here is the videolink on SSS Defence:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7emN3gY9XE
Astra-1 BVRAAM can easily be integrated with MiG-29UPG, since all that has to be done is to share the Astra-1’s fire-control algorithm with that of the MiG-29UPG’s Phazotron JSC-built Zhuk-M2E MMR. So, just copy the Astra-1’s fire-control algorithm into a thumb-drive & pass it to Phazotron JSC, which will then undertake software integration work at its facility in Moscow & then copy this software back into the thumb-drive for ultimate downloading into the Zhuk-M2E’s programmable signals processor & fire-control computer.
To HARDIK THANKI: No, because the IAC-1/Vikrant does not have the deck-length that is reqd for CATOBAR flight-operations. The IAC-1’s deck-length has been optimised for STOBAR flight-operations only.
To SUJIT: It will be possible only with imported MRCAs, because as I had explained numerous times before, an indigenously-developed or licence-built imported aircraft costs 2.5 times MORE to procure than an imported off-the-shelf combat aircraft.
To JOYDEEP GHOSH: The IAF does require a 5th-gen MRCA, but only in the following decade, not today.
To ASHISH GAUTAM: Any follow-on orders for T-90 MBTs will be licence-built by HVF at Avadi & hence they all will have to be T-90S models since HVF does not have the expertise or approval from Uralvagonzavod JSC for producing any other variant of the T-90. The T-90S can be upgraded but not to T-90M standards.
To SUVO: The 300mm Smerch-M is more than enough for the IA, since the IA does not possess any means for target acquisition beyond a distance of 90km. And it is no use firing long-range rockets when there are no available means of acquiring targets at such long ranges.
To SUMANTA NAG: The Turks are only interested in creating a 50km-in-depth buffer zone between Turkey & Syria & the intention is to relocate the 3 million Syrian refugees now inside Turkey back into this buffer zone.
To VIKRAM GUHA: That’s impossible, because Turkish F-16s are built to NATO-standard & since Pakistan isn’t a member of NATO, PAF human resources therefore are prevented by US law from accessing the Turkish F-16s is any manner. But this far more worrying:
How can a whole bunch of officers ASSUME that a slow-moving airborne target is a hostile UAV? Surely any recognisable air situation picture (RASP) being shown on any display will also be able to show a continuous target track that will reveal that a UAV has to maintain a more-or-less constant altitude while cruising & therefore cannot suddenly pop-up like a helicopter.
Prasun sir, 1.1.C hal be able to export tejas to African countries or who have j-7 & a-5lll and compete with jf-17? 2.which 5th gen aircraft will india procure in future?
is FATF playing 50 shades of grey now? What is with this dark grey list threat to Pakistan? lol I was always of the view that it's just two lists i.e. Grey and Black. Now the Western powers have introduced various hues and shades in between. Iran was black listed so readily while Pakistan is still being protected. Is this whole "terror threat" drama just a sham as other western much haloed but hollowed ideological pretenses?
https://m.timesofindia.com/business/india-business/indian-buyers-slash-malaysian-palm-oil-purchases-fearing-duty-hike-traders/articleshow/71592640.cms Sir it seems like traders already taking steps apprehending govt decision.
https://m.timesofindia.com/india/next-war-will-be-won-through-indigenised-weapons-systems-army-chief/articleshow/71593735.cms This seems to be a good dream but distant enough to catch... Your take on this sir... Can we expect an article covering prospect of Indian weapons systems in near future in armed services..
Sir why not anyone talking about E rikshaw ..This type of vehicle is about almost 4k in every small town like Bankura where I live and in west bengal and In other states it has connected villages with town and created a large number of jobs.. But no one is talking no head lines ..Nothing....
Sir what is the specification of the snipers of the sss defence ... In small arms sector should be opened for private sector completely. Will govt make any progressive decisions on Hal and OFB and others PSUs Sir is there any hope of reaching 5 trillion economy as propagated by govt Sir last question ..Has america trapped Turkey in recent incidents or just they are now in a mood of fleeing leaving their partner Kurds to die..
What's the purpose of producing S standard T90 when M is available...?🙄 Some guys are really brainless in MOD as well as army too... Acquire permission to produce M std tanks, but what can be done when owls known as beaureucrats rules MOD...😏 Anyways let it be... 1)How true is this report? https://m.hindustantimes.com/india-news/army-hit-by-silent-wall-in-loc-intelligence-ops/story-lYjwhcENIJKRqHIeP2VXsM_amp.html?__twitter_impression=true 2) or just a report in media to create confusion...?? 3) so now trump has handed over Syria to Russians n Assad, what's next?? 4) technically asking, is it possible to make an EMP based human killing weapon? I mean no noise, no fireworks just a signal n targeted humans are now just bodies...??
Dear Mr.Sumit The Indian state is living in cloud cuckoo land if it thinks it can get Pakistan into a Black list with FATF. Pakistan, an artificially created state for the Great Game shall continue to be supported by the Anglo-Saxon powers who continue to prop it up, which explains the impunity with which they peruse their terror strategy with India, Afghanistan & even their own restive ethnic groups. Putting them on the Black. list will make it difficult for these countries to give 💰 to this basket case of a nation also supported by China. Pakistan shall be propped up by China, US, UK, Turkey, Saudi, Malaysia. Funnily, it was an Islamic Indonesia which initiated the move to corner Pakistan under FATF. Pakistan is a Terrorist country & like ISIS, a white Anglo-Saxon tool of War for destabilizing Asia - Central through SE Asia. Any more evidence, if needed, is provided by the Royals of UK to Saudia enjoying themselves in Pakistan.
The IAF knows it's need to buckle up on training like the Army. It has taken it easy for far too long. Even physical standards were toughened only fairly recently & I have personally observed the casual attitude of acquaintances in the Ground Based Air Defence Units. As the age of dedicated Fighter Interceptors pass, Air Defence will increasingly be a Ground Based AD responsibility with better technology & SAMs/etc. proliferating. Training, SOPs, Discipline etc. needs to be looked at afresh. Very dissatisfied with the IAF

Sir, PLA would be very quick to overcome the deficiencies you have highlighted in reply to BUDDHA compared to India.

Prasunda,
Inspite of the deficiencies that you mentioned above, the denstration of its capabilities are formidable, to say the least. Its clear that China, as declared in the 2017 party conference, is on track to be the superpower it has set its goal to.
I imagine with the funding that is available the deficiencies will be overcome soon, either through tech-break-throughs; direct purchase or by aquisitions of companies abroad.

Prasunda,
Here is a brief but serious assessment on the Chinese military hardware on show which was nothing short of spectacular and astounding, considering the short (relatively) time of development.

Dear Prasun,
1. As per your last response, I feel that Tejas may or may not survive. If this is the case, then what's the reason behind manufacturing the so called LSP series aircrafts which are useless? Please enlighten.
2. Will MWF survive? Or it will give way to 114 MMRCA 2.0?
thought jaishankar's atlantic council talk was a little off. prashun bhai, if you've seen it, did u find it all ok?

Hope all desi journalist and technology champions will stop ranting for Uttam AESA integration on Tejas Mk1A. Hope they will do some analysis why Uttam not considered.
hi prasun
can you elaborate on the new cruise missile df-100? supersonic or subsonic?
apart from the nuke stuff displayed what should we beware of ?
Pak has more cruise misiles then us ie subsonic ,
why cant we import klub series from russian about 500 of them ? as a standby means ?
because the nirbhay is never going to come to full production FOC quickly and even then they will make 10 missiles per year leaving us at a great disadvantage.?
why is no one talking about integration of the astra to the LCA??
is there any talks about getting pylon mounted MAW? is it self contained or does it need integration with onboard avionics?
which is better the TERMA stuff or the swedish stuff? does an ac need
Prasun da,
You responded to someone earlier that PAF had not ordered the block III of jf17. According to published material e.g. Janes they have ordered 50 single seaters and 28 two seaters. This was in an interview with their air chief. The completion of delivery is 2023. How will they change the landscape, in the context of Air-land campaign? Can IAF gain air superiority over PoK?
Kind regards,
Hina
Prasun,
Interesting comments from the new air chief
http://idrw.org/iaf-not-looking-at-foreign-5th-generation-stealth-jets-or-36-more-rafales-to-go-for-indigenous-advanced-medium-combat-aircraft/
if true, then I dont understand the use of having only 36 rafales,
The stmts sound that he is pretty confident on the products under development - LCA tejas Mk1a & AMCA
then there is the 114 mmrca he says the IAf will procure .. taking his comments together.. either 114 mmrca would all be rafales but that will piss off uncle sam who has been mktg F 21 day & night & also may have implications on the strategic relationship, also rafales are way costlier than single engines ones.. on the other hand if single engines one is chosen then IAF will land up with the most diverse platforms which will be a maintenance nightmare as also why did the govt go for 36 rafales at all .. if we talk about a2a nuclear option then Su 30 cud have been modifies & we have the mirage 2000 5'sfor it why the need for 36 rafales.. it cud be just me but looks like each chief has his own agenda which then dump & the nxt one tries to impose his own .. no continuity of thought process eg Brownie wanted nothing domestic (take his comments on htt 40) now a few years later the current chief wants to induct them ..
1. ACM Bhaduria has indicated no proposal of acquiring additional rafales. Do you think IAF will have to do only with 2 squadrons?
2. Why do you think the re-engining of Jaguar was dropped?
3. ACM says no foreign 5th gen fighter. Only AMCA. Do you think India will be able to pull off the AMCA going solo?
Dear Prasun,
W.r.t. IAF CAS statement I think the hope for another batch of 36 Rafale aircrafts is dashed. What's your say?
Here are the videos of the new IAF CAS' press conference today:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnTSvL5i5Ck
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtahtoTcCQ4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQfW9hCuTOY

To BHOUTIK: Here are 2 more talks by him:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1NtMak0T_k
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JovXQymHp0E
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hG_1ngconA
Meanwhile, believing that the IA will not fire back at ancient temple structures, the PA has deployed its medium artillery batteries at & around the Sharada Peeth Temple in PoK:

hi prasun
i am amazed at the chinese for copying the brahmos ! where didi they get the plans from hacked our computer or russian??are they trying to tell us that they cam nmake any thing ?
how are we going to counter them from PAK?
WHY IS IAF CHIEF SAYING THAT NO MORE RAFALES? i think he is trying to swallow more than he canc chew ? we cant make a decent clean LCA and he is jumping to amca? where does he think he will get the money and tech/
why cant we place gun emplacement near mosques in kashmir??
any pics of navic receivers/ who is producing them in india? can they made like the garmin ones that are popular , and what is the accuracy available to civilians? has it wass capability ie GAGAN?
i am sure we can also make hypersonic glide vehicles as a spin of from the reusable space craft tested by us ,what would be the challenges?
the terma pylon with maws is self contained? is it worth copying or makie under tech transfer>
do post pics from the security expo
is it too late to incorporate the f414 epe engine with 26000 lb thrust?in the lca mk2 mwf?
when is the mica-ng going to be flight tested ? is it bigger ? any news or pics ?
it does not make sense getting SEF from uncle sam to tickle his balls, we are better of roping in dassault as a consultant and ironing out the design hiccups as they are masters in delta wing with canards??
So the way I see it, Nirbhay can't fly at low altitude due to lack of TERCOM, and from its external appearance, it doesn't look stealthy either. Moreover it relies on GPS/IRNSS for guidance, which could give away its location or could be jammed. Plus it is subsonic. Doesn't all this make the missile extremely vulnerable?
Dear Prasun,

Prasun Da, kindly share your views regarding the following news:
https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/in-a-first-us-lawmakers-take-a-step-against-india-on-kashmir/article29598290.ece
Happy Durgapuja to You and everybody here.

Thus, like I had stated before, Pakistani officials who are who used to punching way above their weight-categories, are too used to making bombastic claims that can’t stand up to the laws of the physical sciences & hence they always end up as the world’s laughing stock & their bluffs have always been called.

hi prasun
i dont understand the french philosophy of air combat for developing less than medium range mica ng ? is it becasue they have the meteor or is it that they can shorten the merge distance due to jamming and then fire of the mica ng?
The aircraft performed very well against the IAF Mirage 2000s and their Mica missiles, as well as the MiG-21 Bison and its R-73 Archer AAMs.”
well the f16 dint fare well gainst a mig bison?
is he shooting off his mouth as usual
there is also a mention that pilots went to boscome down and now they are going to chngsu for TP traing / how do you rate the chinese Test pilots ,
/ we have to give them som due ??
given the specs of the jf-17 block 3 , i think it will be more of a headache than the f-16 , given the aesa radar , modern iir mi isles , ew , targeting pod HMS etc ???
how to overcome that??
what does the paf chief trying to imply when they were not any where near the battle space over balakot ? did he mean that they jammed our radars or fired of missiles that eventual did not hit/ at least in their view
i believe that the latest version of the r-37 should be integrated to bring down the AWACS and also scare the pakis ! whether it is effective or not against fighters.
But russian web pages always portray the r-37 good enough for long range shots at fighters as well given their tremendous speed and good large active radar.???
from where did thechinks get the blue prints of the yahkont missile? and still russia gives them arms ? what gives/

Hi Prasun,
With economic slowdown to near recession now, what can modi government do to revive it. I mean without economic prowess how can a social welfare state spend on its people or address it's defence needs.

This is how the media loses its Legitimacy and Trust of the people.
hi prasun
you mentioned tha tthe navic was more accurate than the wass aka gagan? which has a 2.5 meter accuracy. the navic will be open to civilion use with that accuracy??
Hi Prasun,
People who say that Mahmud of Ghaznavi was a lamb would probably deny Armenian genocide by Turks as a myth or propaganda.
Probably they will also deny the butchering of Sikhs and their Gurus by the Mughals. This revanchist ideological approach to history is pretty much the stupidity of the so called liberals and petro dollar activists.
Best Wishes

"It shelters within its portals monotheists, polytheists and pantheists; worshippers of the great gods Siva and Vishnu or of their female counterparts, as well as worshippers of the divine mothers, of the spirits of trees, rocks and streams and of the tutelary village deities; persons who propitiate their deity by all manner of bloody sacrifices, and persons who will not only kill no living creature but who must not even use the word "cut"; those whose ritual consists mainly of prayers and hymns, and those who indulge in unspeakable orgies in the name of religion; and a host of more or less unorthodox sectaries many of whom deny the supremacy of the Brahmans, or at least have non-Brahmanical religious leaders.
http://censusindia.gov.in/Census_And_You/old_report/Census_1911.aspx
To VENKY: You can get the latest information on that in this Twitter account:
https://twitter.com/MughalAmiruddin?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
To RON: I had already done that before, here:
https://trishul-trident.blogspot.com/2019/04/from-lca-mk1-to-mwf-af-mk2-mapping.html

1) Is it true that the K-4 has had multiple failures in recent times, with the failures involving an inability to launch off its pontoon itself ? There was an article about this by an India Today journalist in April this year.
2) Will further tests of the K-4 happen in the near future ?

Hi Prasun,
Having grown up in most orthodox Brahmin family, the only thing that opened my mind is Science and History.

Praunda,
1) VMT. Is the lack of K-4 testing then because the K-4 is just meant as a tchnology demonstrator that enables progress towards the definitive SLBM ? Or are there other technical difficulties that caused this slowdow ?
2) Was there a failed test of the ASAT interceptor in Feb this year before the successful one in March, as some analysts have written quoting ``sources in the U.S. military" ?

And of course the TWO protruding sensors on the nose of RB001? If one is FL/DL IRST then what is the other. Great closeup posted by Shri Thatte.

-> Officially list all religious practices (all religions) and tag with scientific benefits (both negative and positive along pyschological aspects) and put TV adverts for each one of them . like cigarette use warning
-> Optional military training for civilians ...2 yr course like any undergraduation but not required to join military
Hi sir, hope u r doing well...😊
1)i have request to u, can u make us see the details of presentation made to Rajnath Singh by Safran in France on Kaveri JV.

Thanks.
What could IAF have done differently re-Balakot?
Shiv

Read for further details 👇
https://wikivisually.com/wiki/Irbis-E
As for the OSF, it was all explained here long ago:
http://trishul-trident.blogspot.com/2011/05/osf-and-skyward-irst-sensors_30.html
As to how non-serious the MoD & Air HQ have been in terms of preventing fatal air-crashes from bird-strikes this reveals it all:
https://theprint.in/defence/iaf-to-begin-process-buy-bird-detection-radars-for-4th-time-in-10-years/302001/
So, instead of travelling to France & wasting time on theatrics, the RM should have instead spent his time on expediting the procurements of such bird-detection radars before the Rafales start arriving in India.
And here is another pointer:
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/the-sukhoi-super-30-the-outlook-indias-ultra-advanced-17535
And here is another pointer:
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/the-sukhoi-super-30-the-outlook-indias-ultra-advanced-17535
To ASHISH GAUTAM: 1) This slide explains it all:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EGb1Y7sU8AIE5HV.jpg

Who is that moron who slected ambala for new rafales...airforce will have a hard time to defwnd itself if it crashes due to bird hit
Prasunda,

Quranic verses that dictate beheading Kaffirs (Kafir by the way means filth, dirt, vermin, animal, ungrateful):
5:33—The punishment of those who wage war against al Lah and his messenger, and strive to make mischief through the land is: execution (by beheading), or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;

Hello Anonymous,
Please do not sully this blog with religious matters; lets keep it the way it is designed by the author/owner; now that the narrative has changed in India; bide your time and do the needful when there is certainty of 100% success; meanwhile work on the self strength and identify the weaknesses of adversaries for swift and effective actions. 1200 years of humiliation (at least in some parts) of our country will not be easy to wipe.
Thanks,
Ganesh
Way to go brother..this pierre whatever has gone out of bounds now..
Dear Prasun,
PAF recently released a video of F-16 targetting indian post. As you described, it was the only video. So can we expect that the PAF operation on 27 Feb was partially successful?
To AMIT BISWAS: Perhaps the same MORONS who are feeding such FAKE NEWS to the ‘desi patrakaars’:
https://theprint.in/defence/balakot-success-iaf-integrate-spice-2000-bombs-su30-mki-fighters/303748/

The US Air Force plans to test a defensive anti-missile laser turret for its jets in the early 2020s, but the Tempest presentation mentions using direct energy weapons for ‘non-kinetic’ purposes, which may imply disrupting or damaging adversary sensors.
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/britains-stealth-tempest-jet-fighter-coming-dethrone-f-35-86941
Prasunda,
1) You once said that we obtained MIRV designs from our Russian partners. If that is so, why would we be taking this long to develop MIRVs ? Are we falling behind schedule on this matter ?
2) Can we continue the internet and mobile lockdown in J&K indefinitely ? We should not prematurely restore these services and allows troublemakers to get the upper hand.

Hello Prasun,
My response was in light of the usual to digress from topic of interest that you are gladly sharing and I am surprised and happy that you responded; again, it was a comment/opinion rather than question
Now delving into the aspects of religion, I personally see (not preaching or brainwashing anybody), economic prosperity helps in galvanizing people and it is important to preserve way of life than anything; the current encouraging environment for making economic gains for those who are willing or inclined to is all that is required.

Prasun sir,
1.1.Pakista are saying jf-17 block 3 will have holographic HUD.Is it true?
2.whether chinese able to develop holographic HUD?
Prasun sir, take a look at this

My querry is cant we hv same capability in our rafale?

I am happy staying outside with small vacations once in a while.
just choose your sides wisely.
Thanks,

Sorry Shaktimaan!!!!

Dear Prasun,
Is IAF ready for two front war in its current form?
Too much of science becomes scientific and too much of scientific turns in to scientific socialism as envisaged by Friedrich Engels. Actually this too much becomes too much and just see what happened!
Hello Rat2,
I partially agree with your point of view; acknowledging the past is relevant; however, getting fixated to it is a handicap, use it as fuel for positive self growth.

Sorry for asking half of the question. I'm talking about two front high-intensity limited conventional war. And whether IAF is ready for that.

prasun sir,
1 it seem like jf-17 has much lower range than lca mk1 and block 1 & 2 only has air combat role and some unguided bomb be fired. therefore it can only can replace j-7 aircraft not mirage 3&5.what aircraft will PAF chose to replace its own MRCA aircraft?
2.Can jf-17 block 3 make any difference to air power against india?
About 5G in India Airtel boss has put all his eggs on huawei saying it’s way superior n affordable for Indians without any comment on security issue....Piyush Goyal dodged the question saying very capable n competent minister in helm to get 5G solution in India whereas that competent person has given this statement

To ASD: For even a limited high-intensity two-front conventional war lasting about 2 weeks, the IAF will not be able to put up a good fight without 60 squadrons of MRCAs of all types.

How to tackle the menace of uav crossings from pak to ind over international border??
Hello Prasunji! After a long time and several mid-sem exams, here are some questions based on some recent interesting development:
1.What do you think about future of Turkey?
Thanks sirji....
what is the role of pakistan in R&D of jf 17 (not the production part).
they boast about it like the f 35.or the whole of the jet was developed by chinese and is being license produced in china.
SHUBHAM
Prasunda,
When we barefly have half the squadrons the IAF requires to put up a good fight in a two front limited high intensity war, what prevents PRC from precipitating one along with Pak to deliver the kind of blow that they did during 1962 or worse ?

Hi Prasun,
Can you provide your views on latest informal summit between namo & Xi.
Also, what the hell is Trump doing in middle East. Will Turkey be truly sanctioned and isolated?
Regards,
Srinivasa Nanduri
Hi Prasun
Do you think Pakistan will be blacklisted this month when China is the chairperson of FATF. I think it will not (at least not this time)
To NAYANDEEP: Back in 1971 too the battles on the western front were fought in wintertime, i.e. in December.
Fire-assaults by the IA conducted against Sharda, Dudhnial & Athmuqam:

https://twitter.com/MughalAmiruddin/status/1182261898030522368
To SRINIVASA NANDURI: Am working on it.

Hi Prasunji,
Can INS Vikrant design be modified to accommodate EMALS system and would it be a cost effective alternative to say Elizabeth class aircraft carrier design.
Thanks & Regards
Hardik Thanki
Prasun sir, even retd.acm tipnis had also advocated for 60 squadron for optimum defence of indian skies..thats 1200 combat aircraft with 20 aircrafts in each squadron..
Though its not possible to achieve with imported aircrafts, do u think is it achievable even if iaf goes heavy on indigeneous tejas and mwf ??
Wouldn't it be good to have a 50 squadron for the air force and increase the squadron strength of indian naval air arm to 8 sqdrons?
hi Prasun da
this joydeep of October 13, 2019 at 6:03 PM isnt me :-P :-P
btw this turkish offensive seems to be leadin to resurgence od isis
also i would be happy if you can create a thread on whether iaf really needs a 5th gen fighters, IMHO it doesnt
thanks
Joydeep Ghosh
Sir an out of context question, in April 19, GOI cleared purchase of 464 T90 tanks from Russia, u have already told this is just part of 1600 tanks contract signed earlier.
Question is did they purchased T90M version or Any other?? Their was also information of fitting them with various electronics here in India only.
If M version is purchased, then I think this turret will be coming to India.
https://twitter.com/I30mki/status/1183770618379952128?s=19
Also, is it possible to upgrade all other versions to latest standards in protection, material, design change etc??
Your comments please.
Prasun Da,
Serbia’s Yugoimport-SDPR has developed a new Sumadija 400mm guided artillery rocket with ranges exceeding 280 km.The Sumadija missile is intended for use against high-value, well-fortified, fixed targets and is armed with a 200-kg high-explosive or fragmentation warhead.
May be this is the only system produced outside China.
Can India procure this system? How good this system is?
Prasun Da,

To ANUP: Here’s the original interview:
https://www.news18.com/news/world/we-have-nothing-against-india-and-need-its-help-to-reconstruct-afghanistan-says-taliban-envoy-2345419.html
But this far more worrying:
https://www.news18.com/news/india/iaf-group-captain-wing-commander-face-court-martial-for-budgam-chopper-crash-in-friendly-fire-2345669.html

Prasun sir,
1.1.C hal be able to export tejas to African countries or who have j-7 & a-5lll and compete with jf-17?
2.which 5th gen aircraft will india procure in future?
Prasunji,
is FATF playing 50 shades of grey now?
What is with this dark grey list threat to Pakistan? lol
I was always of the view that it's just two lists i.e. Grey and Black.
Now the Western powers have introduced various hues and shades in between. Iran was black listed so readily while Pakistan is still being protected. Is this whole "terror threat" drama just a sham as other western much haloed but hollowed ideological pretenses?

Will govt make any progressive decisions on Hal and OFB and others PSUs
Sir is there any hope of reaching 5 trillion economy as propagated by govt
Sir last question ..Has america trapped Turkey in recent incidents or just they are now in a mood of fleeing leaving their partner Kurds to die..
What's the purpose of producing S standard T90 when M is available...?🙄
Some guys are really brainless in MOD as well as army too...

3) so now trump has handed over Syria to Russians n Assad, what's next??
4) technically asking, is it possible to make an EMP based human killing weapon? I mean no noise, no fireworks just a signal n targeted humans are now just bodies...??
Prasun Da,
Thanks for the reply.
Dear Mr.Sumit
The Indian state is living in cloud cuckoo land if it thinks it can get Pakistan into a Black list with FATF.
Prasunda,
The IAF knows it's need to buckle up on training like the Army.
